Impeach Him, Sure–And Limit Presidents to One Term?

I’m all for impeaching George Bush for staggering incompetence and intransigence (let the lawyers figure out the language), but if I get my wish that means that 3/4 of our recent 2-term presidents will have been impeached, or close: Nixon, Clinton, and Bush. Only Reagan goes unscathed, and maybe he shouldn’t have. (Iran-Contra). All four two-termers have suffered second-term miseries. They’re bored, they know the job too well; they get into deep doo-doo. They become overweening and try and crush their opponents (Nixon and Clinton).

Maybe we should limit presidents to one term. We’d get the most of their imaginative capabilities in that interval and save ourselves the long hangover of 8 years. The world moves too fast to give one guy (or one gal) such an important job for so long.

Tell us where Haaretz's new bosses dredged up the bizarre Rosner, Phil. He is currently attacking US Jewry for daring to disapprove of Bush and Sharon.

Kameraden Rowan, explain the connection of the JEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To the 22nd amendment. And how exactly does the Horst Wessel song go

I seem to hear a sound like escaping air.

Anyway, the truly adventurous may enjoy this Iranian TV programme, in which Norman Finkelstein telephonically confronts the redoubtable Lady Michle Renouf:

A better solution would be to massively de fund the federal government so that the second term POTUS can't get into such deep doo doo.

Kameraden Rowan, I have to admit hell hath froze over. I used to think that Finkelstein was the nuttiest guy around. But, Lady Renouf should be under serious therapy and medicated. I have never seen somebody has completely crazy has she is.

Phil – Please cease trying to change the subject. We are in the process of persecuting, er, I mean prosecuting American Jews for their grand conspiracy to control all the sheep, I mean American people, and take over the world. Your clever little maneuvers to throw us off the scent are not appreciated by your consumers. We are on to you.

Thank you Rowan for not letting Phil get away with his little maneuver.

Irate, do you have some sort of weird persecution and prosecution fantasies? Do you read Kafka too often? Has it crossed your mind that you are just a little paranoid?

Can you name a single country where Jews are persecuted, er, I mean prosecuted today?

Shouldn't you worry instead for those who are prosecuted today?

Nah. Never mind.
