Within a few days, Kaplan and Kristol got this baby rolling, had an American Enterprise Institute team make a PowerPoint presentation in the White House and a desperate Bush was manipulated into going for it.

The only good thing that came from the ISG and Baker was that the neocons had to slow down their efforts to get Bush to attack Iran, their number one priority became to end those silly discussions about withdrawal. As Tony Judt has said, "neo-conservatives generate brutish policies for which liberals provide the ethical fig-leaf". I would add the Jewish billionaires who provide the money needed for the necessary propaganda campaigns.
