How about all those other senators who voted to give Shrub a blank check to attack Iraq? The full national IT report was available to all, not merely the neocon summary, not to mention the amendment that would have forced Shrub into more investigation and multilateral consensus before reasking for the blank check.

It might be accurate to say that Hillary was 'privileged' to represent New York in the Senate. Never having lived there or been outside of Manhattan before leaving Washington, she had to take a 'listening tour' upstate to ascertain the existence of remote frontier outposts such as Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo.

In 2006, she coyly avoided commenting on her presidential ambitions, although we now know that was obviously the plan, and probably had been since 1999.

What a triumph of carpetbaggery, to move to New York and get elected its Senator the same year!

What amazes me is how few New Yorkers resent the Empire State being used as the Doormat State; a brief but necessary stepping stone in Hillary's charmed career. Apparently, "Love 'em and leave 'em" is not just Bill's slogan.
