Is Carter Holding Off on Endorsement as a Favor to Obama?

US Politics
on 18 Comments

I just saw Jimmy Carter on Charlie Rose defending his decision to talk to Hamas. Beautiful. Then Rose asked Carter about Obama and the famous Cheshire grin came out. Carter’s not endorsing till the primary season is over, but his whole family is for Obama.

Isn’t the truth that Carter doesn’t want to endorse Obama because it could hurt Obama? What would Hillary do with a Jimmy Carter endorsement of Obama? What would that do to Jewish support for Obama?

"Isn't the truth that Carter doesn't want to endorse Obama because it could hurt Obama?"

Could be. Columnist Bob Herbert of the Slimes claims that Rev. Wright is failing to exercise such discretion:

"For Senator Obama, the re-emergence of Rev. Wright has been devastating. The senator has been trying desperately to bolster his standing with skeptical and even hostile white working-class voters. When the story line of the campaign shifts almost entirely to the race-in-your-face antics of someone like Mr. Wright, Mr. Obama’s chances can only suffer."

But "race-in-your-face" is a flagrant false-flag issue here, as Uncle Tom Herbert knows damned well. What's really unpalatable is Wright's brisk dismantling of our narcissitic 9/11 myth. From Bloomberg:

Asked whether he still believed the U.S. government shares the blame for the Sept. 11 attacks, Wright responded:

"You can't do terrorism on other people and expect it never to come back on you. Those are biblical principles, not Jeremiah Wright bombastic, divisive principles."

This is a fundamental point; probably the ONLY thing that matters for the survival of 21st century America. Obama knows in his heart that it's true: the attackers did not "hate our freedom" — they resented decades of U.S./Israeli state terror. But since the entire zeitgeist of the U.S. is based on global domination, and the delusion of immunity from retaliation, Obama has to cast his lot with the interventionist conventional wisdom to remain "viable within the system."

Obama's pastor has exposed him as a moral sellout. It's unfair, because Obama's opponents are even bigger sellouts. But in such an undistinguished field, it's no great tragedy, one way or the other. Let the least evil schmuck win!

i'm hoping that ex u.s president Jimmy Carter turns over the table of the money changers, and rails at the self righteous pharisees, for the cause of the palestinians who have been dispossesed of their land and are being treated like animals in a zoo.

The propaganda campaign that makes the palestinians look like the raving mad, frothing at the mouth rabid animals, from whom humanity must protect themselves is a world class lie that needs to be denuded of the blanket of lies that have been maliciously written about them for years.

raise it up a notch mr president humanity is on your side.
the truth will absolve you from your zionist accusers and their american slave apologist.

What would Hillary do with a Jimmy Carter endorsement of Obama?

Easy Hillary news bite, "The USA will strongly support forever the right of our staunch ally Israel to exist (omit "as a Jewish state").

This clip followed by talking heads quickly glossing over any
mention of Israel's nukes, no mention of the nakba, or Uncle Sam's annual free pork, and lots of use of the word "terrorist" and HAMAS in every other breath.

What would that do to Jewish support for Obama?

Obama gets on for a sound bite next. Be interesting to see how
    he skirts the apartheid model.

Rev Wright grabs the limelight next, again suggesting Obama knows the truth.

Those Americans most likely to furnish cannon fodder vote against their own best long term interest.

small but not insignificant repeat: "when the incorrect term 'antisemitic' is used, what is meant: truth has been spoken."

truth should never waste our time when isRAel is our subject. lie, lie, lie and accept the lies. jews(those jews) will be happy and 'secure'.

Just saying that Obama is hamas's guy, what do you need peanut Jimmy for?

Carter is directly responsible for bribing Egypt at 2 billion a year (with American tax dollars when Jews are less than 3% of the total American population) to make nice with Israel. And you call him a peanut? (And for paving the way for Jordan's peace with Israel).

G-D forbid, Jimmy Carter should take his Christian morality seriously.

What exactly then, is the lately proclaimed "Judeo-Christian" ethic?

I'm just asking. Just as most American Jews would never move to Israel, I would never move to an Arab state.

I'm going to take you at your word that you volunteered for Vietnam,
( which I have a lot of respect for ) However, Jimmy Carter sat out WW2. That I don't have respect for. Not to mention his amazing affinity for the happy go lucky lads from Hamas.

You may simply be reading too much into it and Carter merely wants what's best for the Democratic Party's victory chances in November. He was interviewed in The Progressive and said:

"I'll be glad when we have our choice made. We have two outstanding candidates, and they are very close in the number of delegates they have and in the number of votes they've had. I am a superdelegate, and I've refrained from expressing a preference between the two.
But I'll be going to the convention in Denver, and I will be trying to make sure that the candidate we choose is not only the best person to be the President but will also be the kind of person who can hold our country together."

just remember sword that when the world turns their back on israhell and the us can no longer afford to give the parasite state more shekels to help them subsist…then we can say that zionism will have played itself out……..until then you have the day.

enjoy the sun while its shining and consider heeding the words of the old rabbis who understood what zionism was going to do to the jewish people by associating zionism with judaism.

"2And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me."

Maybe someday you'll have what you want. Another holocaust and the replacement of Israel with yet another Islamic state. Honor killings, 11 yr old brides, lack of toilet paper usage. Maybe even some camel races with child jockeys. Basically a another country that sucks ass. You see if they lucked into some oil their just ragheads with money. If not, ragheads without money. Eithe way Islam is blight on humanity so go ahead root for side that loves to cut peoples heads off and is a drain on the world. Someday it might happen, but it might not. We survived Hitler and the inquisition. We'll get through the sand niggers.

i am all for an israel who lives in peace with her neighbors, the onus is on israel to live up to the responsibilities of statehood in a humanitarian world. History says that israeli zionist have had other intentions and the palestinians are and have been defending themselves and fighting for their dignity and existence. i do not justify the criminal acts of either side against a helpless and most of the time innocent citizenry.

zionist in israel are already doing that to the palestinians and i'm speaking up against the madness that zionism has given the world. besides i thought ashkenazis were originally middle easteners….or maybe not.

the jews have given the world bolshevism and zionism….thanks guys youre a special people allright…chosen indeed.

check out what ex pres carter is going to get for his work on behalf of the palestinians. this is from

Two Republican congressmen introduced legislation that would deny the Carter Center federal dollars.

Two Republican congressmen introduced legislation that would deny the Carter Center federal dollars.

U.S. Reps. Joe Knollenberg (R-Mich.) and Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) introduced the Coordinated American Response to Extreme Radicals Act , or CARTER Act, last week in the wake of former President Jimmy Carter’s recent outreach to Hamas.

“America must speak with one voice against our terrorist enemies,” Knollenberg said in a statement. “It sends a fundamentally troubling message when an American dignitary is engaged in dialogue with terrorists. My legislation will make sure that taxpayer dollars are not being used to support discussions or negotiations with terrorist groups.”

The Zionist Organization of American praised the legislation.

I'd rather be "Wright" than president.
Thank the Rev. for drawing the line in the sand. You can agree with his revisionist view of American history, or be like the chauvinists who run the imperial ship called America. Obama chose the ship of fools.
But this will be an education for those of his followers who keep an open mind. His brand of the "new politics" is no more than a fist in a velvet glove. He repudiates Wright,Carter,Soros, and anyone that might make the zionists nervous. Looks like this election is just another example of the evil of the lessors.
