The Huffington Post says that Israeli-American Clinton backer Haim Saban dangled a $1 million gift to the Young Democrats of America during a phone call in which he pushed the group's two uncommitted super-delegates to commit to Hillary. Saban denies it. Why is it that even Huffpo can't say what Saban's ulterior motive is. No you have to read Haaretz for that:
Saban: "[Israel] must do all we can to maintain the alliance with America. A major crisis at the wrong time could be a disaster, a disaster."
Haaretz: "Do you feel that as an Israeli-American of influence your mission is to prevent that crisis?"
Saban: "You said it."
International Jew, money, influence. I know, we're not allowed to talk about that stuff. Sorry.

There is some good evidence that Saban used media acquisitions in Germany to skew the recent German election in favor of Merkel.
It's almost as if some of the Israel-centric Democratic activists might not be as happy with Obama as some might suggest.
will Haim switch his support to McCain if the compliant Clintons arent the Democratic victors? will he say, like Lieberman, that "this is not the Democratic Party i grew up with", wherever in fact he grew up? is he even a Democrat? or is he simply detailed w supporting/managing that particular party's candidates?
Saban almost went bankrupt in Israel, just before he moved from there, and became (after a stay in Paris) a billionaire in the US. But apparently in Israel he lost, together with his money, also his heart.
He is a self described hawk as far as Israel's security is concerned. However the relevant Wiki comes up with the following quote:
"Would you try to talk to Hamas? "
"That is something I would do. Absolutely. You have to talk to anyone who is willing to talk. But based on a realistic approach."
The dealers in dubious historical analogies about 'appeasement' can take at least that to heart.
From tracing the cash flows, I have the impression that Saban is a creation of the transational Labor Zionist political elite. (See link to members.aol.com
.) He might have some difficulty in working with the Jabotinskians and Occult Nationalists.
It will be interesting to see what Martin Peretz does.
'Why is it that even Huffpo can't say what Saban's ulterior motive is'
The fact that his wife was once a regular op-ed columnist for them (making anodyne motherhood statements about, well.. motherhood, along with Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, you name it. Feelgood pablum.
I made some pointed inquiries in comments on maybe 4 or 5 occasions (mostly noting that her capacity for caring stopped short of Palestinians) but only one made it past their gatekeeper. Does her husband help bankroll HuffPo? Is it's funding on the public record?
HuffPo's performance during the Lebanese ruckus in '06 was appalling. I wonder why.
Not only will Huffington Post not mention Saban's "ulterior motive" — I've had two posts deleted and saw other posts disappear that brought it up.
All my one post consisted of was this article from ynet….
Israeli billionaire Saban biggest donor to US politicians
Just posted the following again to Huff Post…
'Israeli billionaire Saban biggest donor to US politicians'
Send them a reasonable, polite inquiry as to why your comment was deleted. They will put it on the pile along with mine and all the others, and ignore it.
That librul media.
Yeah, don't you love Arianna's "Fearless" bit? Too funny… I mean, Dershowitz lurks there, what else do you have to know? Kos, the same thing. Both essentially worthless.
"The pretext for stopping any publication will be the alleged plea that it is agitating the public mind without occasion or justification. I BEG YOU TO NOTE THAT AMONG THOSE MAKING ATTACKS UPON US WILL ALSO BE ORGANS ESTABLISHED BY US, BUT THEY WILL ATTACK EXCLUSIVELY POINTS THAT WE HAVE PRE-DETERMINED TO ALTER…
Those fools who will think they are repeating the opinion of a newspaper of their own camp will be repeating our opinion or any opinion that seems desirable for us. In the vain belief that they are following the organ of their party they will, in fact, follow the flag which we hang out for them."
–PROTOCOL No. 12
It becomes clearer everyday.
And we wonder why we have had a terror problem:

Haim Saban is also a very active organizer and donor for the Friends Of The Israeli Defense Forces.
Here is the link, and a discription of its mission. Maybe this is why the media is afraid to reveal just what the agenda of Haim really is…

that is a bit of a too fast dotconnecting, Joachim. Merkel is very clever lady. In the election before she had given away her chances to become "Bundeskanzler" to the then Bavarian prime minister.
Besides the Socialists under Schroeder had been moving towards the right for quite some time (on the trail of Blair's third way). With many members leaving the party. And there is another left group that competes for the voters on the left.
Anyway, I never heard of Saban's influence over here. Maybe Murdoch, but not Saban. He was only making money in the break up of a German media empire, that had very good connections to Kohl and the Bavaria part of the CDU (Christian Democrat Party) the CSU (Christian Socialist Party).
Ahh, finally we have it: "The Protocol Quote."
CDM, you should very carefully look into its sources. Since will help you to understand why it feels so attractive:

I added a few recent articles in English and upcoming publications on the subject by my favorite historian on the topic:

Addition to my note on Merkel's German election.
With another left group I have "Die Linke" in mind not the Green Party which has constantly moved to the center:

Again, Joachim, I doubt that Saban had any influence on it.
LeaNder: Why does a historian need to spend so much time and energy on something so obviously phony?
What gives the Protocols such legs?
Why do I need to hear twenty different second, third or fifth-hand opinions on something that I can easily read for myself and compare to the real world….?
