Saif Ammous on 10-Year-Old Boy Killed Protesting ‘Separation Wall’

The Palestinian press reports that a 10-year-old Arab boy was killed by the Israeli Army in Ni'lin, where villagers have been protesting the construction of the "separation wall" on Arab lands. Saif Ammous comments:

"Another week, another barbaric Israeli response to Palestinian non-violence resistance.  And another bout of
deafening silence from all the people who never shut up telling Palestinians about the importance of non-violence, dialog, listening and being nice.

"Ni'lin has been holding continuous non-violence resistance actions to the Israeli apartheid wall stealing most of the village's land for years now.  You never seem to hear about it anywhere but in Palestine; and it never registers in the brains of the immoral westerners whose only take on the conflict is to lecture Palestinians about how nice it would be if they would take their oppression a little more nicely.  You can read more about it here at wordpress."

  1. Richard Witty says:

And, yesterday, the IDF concluded to move the wall, in conformity with the Israeli Supreme Court decisions.

The non-violent efforts do bear fruit.

Where is the celebration for the successes?

  2. charles Keating says:

Yeah! This ruling is a good thing! Witty is right. Stay tuned; will the IDF find some way of ignoring the court's decision.

Many Arabs think: "Either that or they will just move the wall a few metres here or there and the court will accept that."

    Stay tuned.

"villagers have been protesting the construction of the "separation wall" on Arab lands" – writes Mr. Mondowoshkeiss.

But land can only be Arab in the head of a racist.
