Last night I saw a big black guy and a thin white guy massaging Michael Phelps between closely-scheduled events and was proud for my country.

When my wife's parents were both deathly ill, I took care of them and their business–nobody contributed more to their well-being than me, other than my wife, which of course directly affected me–before we got married her mother did everything she could to stop it, including threatening to pour hot boiling chicken soup on my head–of course she knew nothing about me (or my family–all living far away). In the end, her dying wish was she had made me trustee of her estate–rather than her own son. This was in the context of her wide extended family locally abounding, including her all own children. Truth is always different than fiction.
