This is a very valuable blog and I think you represent a vital constituency. Hey, and we'd all miss you. I think even Witty would miss you.

I still wish he shifted his fixation to take me up on my offer for him to host a network of Chatauquas on various subjects throughout New England.

1. Post book links with short statements as to why the books are important, with click through to Amazon. Invite commenters to post their own book recommendations, and make sure click through revenue comes to you.

2. Set up an Anti-AIPAC fundraising mechanism, whereby politicians who cross AIPAC and who then lose support, can solicit replacement funds. Charge a percentage for the service.

3. Develop a Mondoweiss giftshop of coffee mugs, T shirts, lapel pins, etc., mini-zen garden, through a vendor who sells such things, if you provide the logo/artwork and negotiate for as high a percentage as possible. Develop a signature gift item that uniquely expresses through art or design something fundamental about Mondoweiss.

4. Collect past columns into a Best of Mondoweiss book and publish it.

5. Launch Mondoweiss Radio, in which you provide a half hour of content, which you can try to syndicate. Ditto with video.

6. Develop a syndicated column, and pitch it to mainstream media. You may hit a stonewall initially, but, who knows?

7. Throw Mondoweiss gatherings, where readers can come to meet you and each other. Charge for attendance. Sell lots of T shirts and books.

8. Market yourself as a speaker and TV pundit.

9. Establish Mondoweiss memberships, for escalating dollar amounts, with the highest paid entitled to participate in a weekly conference call, which should be expertly facilitated to help build the sense of community, give people a chance to be heard and acknowledged, and engage on a topic or topics of mutual interest. Use it as a polling place to solicit input.

10. Seek sponsors for particular investigative news reporting projects. Your past employers won’t commission you to expose this or that? Ask you readers if they will commit x dollars to pay you to dig it out. Not sure how much you get paid for an article, but if you spread it far enough, it shouldn’t cost much.

Just keep plugging away. This stuff is starting to hit the mainstream, as you have stated repeatedly.

Another idea might be to get together with other like-minded individuals and see how collectively you might go about things. There is power in numbers, despite the initial lack of financial strength. I think it's great that so many from both sides of the aisle – left and right – have come together over this issue, and I look forward to continued cooperation in the future.

That being said, sometimes practicality intrudes, something which we all appreciate. Doppler's suggestions above are excellent. I like the idea of the Best of Mundoweiss offered for sale on the site. A collection box can't hurt. Noticed that the antiwar.org site was able to get over the 70k hurdle in good time. Many of your readers will happily contribute, no doubt, some more than others. Since many are Jewish, guilt will help -as many would love to be able to do what you do, but lack either or both the courage and the means. If Obama could do it so can you. Why not team up with a cyber designer to sell the usual paraphenelia? I might be able to help in this regard, but can't imagine you don't know many infinitely more talented people on the East Coast.

One idea I have is to compile the list of leading neocons along with 2-sentence biographies and have them up for sale (say, at $20. a pop, with biannual updates making it the gift that keeps on giving). I know I could use such a list so as not to mix my con's with my can'ts (something I always do, alas. There are just way too many Goldbergs out there). We could even give them an AIPAC-rating from rabid to tepid. just a thought here. Many more ideas where this one came from….

I'm sure many of your readers (including the ones who seem to hate your guts) will be delighted to pitch in as best they can. All you need to do is ask.

So. . . publish less, if you must, but keep this blog going.
