The American Prospect today sited a poll that American Jewish support for Obama was comparable to American Jewish support for Kerry. (75%)

Leo Strauss's nostrums seem to have trickled down into the bedrock of the Jewish community. No lie more noble than that which helps Israel. But then, who needs Strauss? Most of them have probably never heard of him. The Janus face is already part of the furniture, but unnoticed in normal times, when the vast gulf between the interests of Israel and the US can be papered over. But these aren't normal times and even a lock on the MSM and Congress cannot prevent the occasional glimpse into that ravine.

That photoshop is evidence of the depth of the divide. It is an anti-American, as much as it is an anti-Obama statement. It's authors should be invited to appear on Charlie Rose or Chris Matthews to explain themselves. The shiniest silver-tongue in the world could not obscure the fascistic racism at it's heart.

Mr Ronen and the others involved in it's production and dissemination should be added to the national watch list and database of potential terrorists. They should not be able to breeze back into the US without the sort of process Maher Arar or at least Cat Stevens was subjected to. They have vilified the leader of a major American political party and in all probability (Diebold willing) the next President of the United States.

If one of them tries to come visit say in March next year, wouldn't it be nice for them to get a rude shock. Every bit as much as the Wahhabists, these people are our enemies and ought to be recognised, and treated as such. They may not bomb us (yet, nothing is beyond them in the service of their ideology) but they animate those that do (or want to, at any rate), and while there's not a a lot we can do about amorphous cave-dwellers who hate us, there are options for dealing with that part of our own polity that motivate them.

Particularly if they outstay their welcome as spectacularly as the people behind that poster.

I hope all those numberless, nameless NSA drones can take some time off from monitoring antiwar protestors or Democrat activists or PETA members so that they can check out the communications of the poster perps and their families and friends in the US. It's only fair, and it may end up being prudent too.
