Is Major League Baseball Destroying the National Pastime?

I stayed up till midnight last night to watch Game 7. I think I stayed up till nearly 1:30 a.m. (reading The Golden Notebook, too) for Game 2. This is wrong. I became a baseball fan watching games in the afternoon. Ten zillion kids aren't getting to see these games, aren't getting to play hooky, hold a radio to their ears walking home from school–the whole thing. I know some friends are upset about this, too, guys who've come over to watch till Inning 6. A lot of fun, huh. Where's the outrage? Get these games back on at a reasonable hour…
