The Republican Jewish Coalition sent out an email today on Rev. Jesse Jackson's statement of Obama's secret views about Israel/Palestine (an interpretation I share). RJC boss Matt Brooks sees these views as a source of concern to Jewish voters:
As reported by the New York Post,
Jackson said at the World Policy Conference last week, that Obama would
bring "fundamental changes" to US foreign policy in the Middle East. The Post also reported that Jackson said, "'decades of putting Israel's interests first would end. Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades would lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House."…

"That
those with such virulent anti-Semitic and anti-Israel views support an
Obama presidency continues to be deeply troubling to the Jewish
community. It highlights why Obama continues to have problems in the
Jewish community," said Brooks.

Who knows if Jackson was quoted accurately.
If so, then it is Jackson that is wishful thinking.
Obama is confidently supportive of Israel's defense, and will likely NOT materially change US relationship in that regard.
I personally HOPE that Obama changes the way that the US is Israel's friend.
It's jewish chauvinism he needs to stop supporting, including the chauvinism marketed under the banner of 'Israel's defense'.
Come on. Jesse "humie town" Jackson was always a just a shake down artist. And Obama, no argument. I don't care how many speeches he makes to aipac has a symbolic kaffiyeh stapled to his head. The saving grace to me is that the next 4 yrs are going to be nothing but crisis management. And Obama's going to make Jimmy Carter look like Harry Truman. Palin in 2012.

If Neocons are able to derail Obama, are they also willing to take some blame for doing so? I've repeatedly seen or heard it stated that if Obama loses it is because of racism, or that there will be racial violence if Obama loses. I don't know about the violence, but I know that charges of racism will be thrown about. Will Neocons catch heat, or will the usual suspects be blamed?
Drudge has linked to this article now, so watch Obama repudiate Jackson in the next 3 minutes or so. Here is what it will look like:
"Jesse Jackson does not speak for me or my campaign. I am devoted to defending Israel and will do everything in my power to make sure that Israelis feel secure, etc. etc. etc." You know the rest– just read the comments section on that article to see what to expect.
And right on cue, here we are. The rejection of Jesse:

"As he has made clear throughout his career and throughout this campaign, Barack Obama has a fundamental commitment to a strong U.S.-Israel relationship … As president, he will ensure that Israel can defend itself from every threat it faces, stand with Israel in its quest for a secure peace with its neighbors, and use all elements of American power to end Iran's illicit nuclear program.
"No false charges can change Barack Obama's unshakeable commitment to Israel's security."
Screw this– not that it matters, because I think Obama will win, but part of me would love to see Obama lose, and to see the Obama supporters, who ignore such idiotic statements swearing allegiance to a foreign power, running around beating their breasts and tearing their hair out.
Wouldn't all of like to have a "special relationship" that keeps on giving, no matter the cost so long as we benefit?
Pretty clear who's the traditional female here.
NY advertising principles were copied by Goebbels.
Thanks Madrid. It was fun watching that one unfold so fast.
(Ever notice how FoxNews always uses the word Zionist in scare quotes, like it doesn't really exist?)
As the P.A.Z.-J.E.W. observed,
"Zionism is good for America. That's why the word itself is almost never uttered in the American media–like G-d, it's too damn good and holy to even be mentioned."
At this point the ordinary American Jew must be confused about which candidate is best for Israel. Their Zionist leadership might want to spell it out for them so they don't vote for the wrong candidate.
