Emanuel Suggested Criticism of Israel Bombing Lebanon Was Criticism of ‘War on Terror’

I still have faith in Obama and the Middle East. But nobody can be sure and I keep an open mind. Here is Philip Giraldi at antiwar.com saying that Rahm Emanuel is AIPAC's man in the White House and pointing out something I missed:

In July 2006, Emanuel was one of several congressmen who called for the cancellation of an impending speech before Congress by visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki because Maliki had called Israel's bombing of Lebanon "aggression." Emanuel was joined by his close friend and DSCC counterpart Sen. Charles Schumer, who asked; "Which side is he on when it comes to the war on terror?"

No one should believe for a second that such
a man as Rahmbo, routinely described in the Israeli press as Israeli, cares more about the security of this country than of Eretz Yisrael.

Emanuel shouldn't have to carry his father's sins, but his service of any sort in the IDF, and his loyalty and ties to Israel should prohibit him from any important position within the U.S. government, and place him under suspicion in general. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Middle East policy.

I,an American, see the same as Todd.

This covering what America should do in its own interest.

Realizing Israel's is not the same in very fundamental ways.

More on Emanuel’s shady past with the Clinton administration

November 10, 2008 — More on Emanuel’s shady past with the Clinton administration

WMR (Wayne Madsen Report) has learned from U.S. intelligence sources additional details of prospective White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s ties with the Israeli intelligence agency, the Mossad. We have also learned that President-elect Barack Obama is fully aware of the problems with Emanuel’s past security woes within the Clinton administration, but that the President-elect faced the problem of delivering on a few political IOUs he handed out during the campaign.

WMR has learned that Emanuel will be under a virtual probationary period as Chief of Staff and that if there is one whiff from the FBI or another law enforcement or intelligence agency that he is dealing with foreign intelligence agents, Obama will cut him loose as soon as practicable.

Emanuel has, according to our sources, been the subject of FBI counter-intelligence surveillance for quite some time. FBI surveillance teams have seen Emanuel enter Washington, DC and Chicago synagogues at the same time known Mossad agents assigned to the Israeli embassy in Washington and the Israeli Consulate General in Chicago entered the facilities. FBI regulations prevented the surveillance teams from pursuing the parties into the places of worship…….
