Here are two photographs Jeff Blankfort took in the Bakaa refugee camp in Jordan in August 1970. They show young Palestinian kids, Ashbal, or Lion Cubs, as they were called, getting ready to fight to retake the land taken from their parents.
Amazing to think, these pictures were taken 38 years ago, and now the cubs are middle-aged, and still there is no resolution….
And think how much strife is caused, worldwide, by the imagined places exiles have in their hearts…
