From the Times story, "Israel Reminds Foes That It Has Teeth"-- a lesson the countless foes had surely forgotten since the Gaza blockade, the attacks on protesters in the West Bank, the Syrian raid, and the cluster bombs spread over Lebanon:
“In the cabinet room today there was an energy, a feeling that after so long of showing restraint we had finally acted,” said Mark Regev, spokesman for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert."
Observes the Times's Ethan Bronner: "There is palpable satisfaction at the moment in the Israeli government and the military because the operation so far is seen as a success."
Oh, and here is Kabobfest's video on the operation.

Great title for this post Phil.
In the last debate, Obama said “I don't want to just end the war, but I want to end the mindset that got us into war in the first place.”
The US media backing of Israel at the moment and the way it describes the Gazan arabs is exactly the mindset that got us into war in the first place.
Poor Americans paid for Israel's dentist. They will continue to do so, even as their own teeth rot out of their mouths. That's what G-D ordered after all.
