Majority of those killed are civilians

How absolutely horrific, this bulletin from Maan (emphasis Adam Horowitz's):

Medics in Gaza confirmed that the majority of those killed in the day's attacks were civilians, including men, women and children. Most were cut to pieces, making the job of doctors and medics difficult, and the task of giving bodies back to families painful and gruesome. The medics working in the field continue to dig up bodies from the densely populated urban areas of Gaza City. The scenes remind many Palestinians of the images that came out of the Sabra and Shatila massacres from Beirut in 1982, when thousands of Palestinians were killed by the Lebanese Phalangist militaries.

This is, of course, the same situation as in Iraq and Afghanistan, where the majority of war casualties are civilians.

World War I trench warfare was an artifact of agricultural societies which hardly exist anymore, except in remote corners of the earth.

The U.S./Israeli military doctrine of pounding population centers with air strikes is inherently criminal.

And as Chalmers Johnson keeps on reminding us, there will be blowback. If not from terrorism, then from bad karma.

There are a large number of normal nations in the world, outside the U.S. and Israel, which aren't murdering civilians on a daily basis. Let's pick one and go live in it, so we can look ourselves in the mirror again.

What's wrong with those Pals living in their own Warsaw ghetto? Next thing you know they will revolt with a few puny weapons!

Have any of you saw the Al Jazeera English report on this? It looked like the vast majority of those killed were uniformed.
