A Muslim friend writes from an Ivy League university:
"I was chatting with a security guard at my dorm. The talk was about India/Pakistan/Afghanistan. Then he looked at me and said 'What do we do about Israel?' I think people are watching a televised mass slaughter and though it is
sanitized by the press they feel unease even if the liberal press
doesn't.
"Other voices. Desmond Tutu:
"In
the context of total aerial supremacy, in which one side in a conflict
deploys lethal aircraft against opponents with no means of defending
themselves, the bombardment bears all the hallmarks of war crimes."
"Abdulrrahman Wahid, the former Indonesian president, is about as philo-semitic as it gets. He made very pro-Israel
statements years ago, which infuriated some Indonesian Muslims. He''s a
friend of Paul Wolfowitz who was a former Amb. to Indonesia." He says:

That vicious killer Tutu and some Muslim ex-dictator are unhappy? Phil, get some sleep . . .
Israel is hoping that, when it invades Gaza, Iran will do something stupid, like fire a missile at American/Israeli forces (or aid someone fighting America/Israel), whereupon the US will respond with a massive attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure & armed forces.
I gather than Rice has given them until Jan 5 to finish the 'operation', just as with the so-called 'second Lebanon war.'
Weiss: "I think people are watching a televised mass slaughter and though it is sanitized by the press they feel unease even if the liberal press doesn't."
Liberal press? Sounds a lot like "liberal media," which deep down we all know has been the increasingly dominant status-quo in America in conjunction with the increasingly dominant Zionist status-quo in America. It is this kind of non Party-line thinking that distinguishes Weiss from all the other left-liberal commissars, agitprops and propagandists that dominate mainstream media. Unlike the others, he puts the question of right or wrong above ideological posturing and Party-line political correctness.
Also, note how so many of the left-liberal critics of Zionism, who pretended to be so outraged when it was Bush collaborating with the Judeofasicists, have suddenly disappeared now that it is Obama collaborating with the Judeofascists (as if the Democrats weren’t the original Judeofasicst collaborators to begin with).
Apparently in establishment left-liberal America, right or wrong isn't really a function of right or wrong, but rather which Big Government/Big Brother Party holds power. Moral relativism — it's all the rage. Although it isn't so hip for the Iraqis, Afghans and Palestinians being crushed by the Western liberal establishment and its Emanuel Goldstein pseudo-opposition Neocon “democracy” advocates bringing gunpoint progressivism to the “backward” religious bumpkins of the Middle East, is it?
Like usual, Phil is on the money in his analysis. The good news–as it were–of all this, is that more and more people will begin to make the logical connection between Israel's behavior and the underlying hateful contempt of non-Jewish life that lies at the heart of the Zionist proposition.
And NBC is repeating 4 ISRAELI DEATHS due to Pal rockets sans any mention at all of Palestinian deaths. Fox News is rerunning yesterday's Krauthammers galore, blaming weeks of Pal rockets as the patient
Israel finally reacted with unbelievably scrupled pinpoint strikes to avoid civilian Pal harm. Repeat, repeat, its a just war by Israel.
(Pounding is part of the Israeli election campaign; Candy Rice will allow more pounding as US did two years ago in Lebanon. )
Re: Ed – "as if the Democrats weren’t the original Judeofasicst collaborators to begin with"
Ol' Bernie Madoff along with a whole lot of other VERY wealthy Wall Street Jews sure do donate alot of money to the Democratic Party and other left-wing causes, yes?
Ed,
See a psychiatrist; really, there are times when it is worth the money.
Just out of curiosity (I know I'll regret asking this)…but how is it that, after Republican right wing fruitcakes have spent the last 8 years trying to impose their will, by force, on Iraqis, Afghans, Palestinians, et al, and this enthusiastically supported by right wing Americans…how is it you manage to conclude it is the fault of "left liberal establishment America".
I assume you have stopped taking your medication?
that shitty little country violates the human rights of everyone with impunity.
The U.N. special rapporteur for human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, former Princeton University law professor Richard Falk, has labeled what Israel is doing to the 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza “a crime against humanity.” Falk, who is Jewish, has condemned the collective punishment of the Palestinians in Gaza as “a flagrant and massive violation of international humanitarian law as laid down in Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.” He has asked for “the International Criminal Court to investigate the situation, and determine whether the Israeli civilian leaders and military commanders responsible for the Gaza siege should be indicted and prosecuted for violations of international criminal law.”
Falk’s unflinching honesty has enraged Israel. He was banned from entering the country on Dec. 14 during his attempt to visit Gaza and the West Bank.
“After being denied entry I was put in a holding room with about 20 others experiencing entry problems,” he said. “At this point I was treated not as a U.N. representative, but as some sort of security threat, subjected to an inch-by-inch body search, and the most meticulous luggage inspection I have ever witnessed. I was separated from my two U.N. companions, who were allowed to enter Israel. At this point I was taken to the airport detention facility a mile or so away, required to put all my bags and cell phone in a room, taken to a locked, tiny room that had five other detainees, smelled of urine and filth, and was an unwelcome invitation to claustrophobia. I spent the next 15 hours so confined, which amounted to a cram course on the miseries of prison life, including dirty sheets, inedible food, and either lights that were too bright or darkness controlled from the guard office.”
The foreign press has been, like Falk, barred by Israel from entering Gaza to report on the destruction.
MURDER as cover for THEFT is NOT self-defense!
Israel does not care about US public opinion as it largely controls the government and can set the echo chamber to spin whatever narrative they please.
Same as it ever was.

@ Dom,
The Dems laid the groundwork for the Iraq war with the Balkans war. The Dems voted for the Iraq war. The Dems endorsed and extended the Iraq war in every way shape and form after taking Congress in 'o6 by posturing as anti-war. Obama won as posing as the anti-thesis to Bush, but he's picking up right where Bush left off. The Jewish Zionists give hundreds of thousands to the Dems annually and have been financing them for decades, (and other than the Neocons are mostly partisan Democrats). The media that is behind the Iraq war and big government gunpoint progressivism is left liberal…
A child should be able to see the game the left-liberals play, because it's the same passive-aggressive game that all Leftists play: pose and gain power as sensitive, compassionate, peaceful, egalitarian, progressive — and then promptly betray each and every one of those ideals once in power. The like-minded big government Bushcons even picked up the trick by posing as "compassionate conservatives."
But the Doms of the world keep pulling that lever marked “Dem” like lemmings marching over a cliff simply because the Dems are Red Fascists instead of Brown ones, but then just can’t understand why nothing ever changes no matter which party is in power. What’s the definition of insanity, Dom? Maybe you’re the one in need of medication.
Ed is astute, and historically accurate. Also, check out all the resolutions written by AIPAC drones
over the last eight years that most of both parties in Congress signed, all the ones related to Iran and the Palestinians and Israel. All of them are totally one sided.
Ed's problem is blaming the 'left' media; and the 'left' Democratic party – when in fact neither is on the left in reality.
There is however a problem with the American left – and that has more to do with the overwhelming influence of right wing politics in America since the 50's than anything else – which has shifted the goal posts so now any support for government initiatives beyond war and tax cuts for the wealthy is looked upon as 'socialism'.
The media is not by any account on the left – and to think so is complete stupidity.
As it is to point to leftist 'angst' as the cause of all that is bad.
Your not angry, are you Ed?
Not one bit…..
Stevieb, would you prefer the “real” Left to the socialist-corporatist left we have? The real Left, as epitomized by Stalin, Trotsky and Mao, that murdered millions?
Anyway, I don’t see how George W. Bush can be described as conservative when he has not bothered to protect American borders due to his delusional belief in unversalism, he seeks to spread universalist “democracy” worldwide at the barrel of a gun (inspired by Jewish Zionist ex-Trotskyite Neocons and liberal interventionists), he has grown government more than any politician since FDR, he and the Democrats were behind the Keynsian, government engineered “ownership society” housing bubble that just imploded, and US public debt and deficits to pay for every government program under the sun are at record levels.
He IS right-wing in the Corporatist and Mercantilist sense, but those initiatives work hand in glove with Leftist notions of universalism. In fact, neo-liberal Bolsheviks like Tom Friedman and George Soros envision using Capitalism and free trade to get to the old Communist (professed) goal of universalism. So do Bush and the Neocons. But these delusional, utopianistic fantasies of government-engineered universalism (which also just happen to comport with their own personal profit), always end in the same place: mass murder, and enslavement of the host population.
My point is that all of these Big Government universalists are either swindlers or nut-cases clinging to childish utopian fantasies who accomplish nothing but epic disaster and self-enrichment. That’s all they ever were, and that’s all they’ll ever be.
No Ed. I don't wish for that, as you should know quite well.
But I do wish people would stop slagging the left on account of some high profile posers….
I can agree that Bush was no conservative – and yes he increased government spending to boost the wealthy and fight his stupid war. I would call that fascism, myself.
Capitalism and universalism do not go hand in hand. Capitalism without meaningful regulation leads to and maintains what we see now – the current status quo where 1% of the population has 90% of the pie (or something close to that).
I know what your saying Ed – IMO you're just barking up the wrong tree….
