I gather that the New York Times has run two Op-Eds about Gaza: by Benny Morris and David Grossman. Both Israelis. Why not Americans? Why not the Jews who are leaving the Israel church over this? Why not Andy Whitmore who helped organize the demos in Kansas City? I gather that the Washington Post op-ed page today has both Charles
Krauthammer and Michael Gerson unreservedly backing Israel. A friend writes: "Yesterday, it had
two outside contributors expressing similar support. This, of course,
is the page that so vehemently backed the invasion of Iraq. How can this
keep happening? What is to be done?" Progressive/realist Americans, do you feel represented? Democrats, do you feel represented? Obama, do you feel undermined?
