Today, Israeli soldiers shot a woman waving a white flag in the Khuza'a
area, in the south-eastern Gaza Strip, a Palestinian who is besieged
with his family there says. According to his report, the soldiers shot
several civilians who were fleeing a bombed house on army orders,
killing at least three and wounding others.
With many more stories like these sure to come to light, it is no surprise that Chris McGreal reports in the Guardian, "Israel is facing growing demands from senior UN officials and human rights groups for an international war crimes investigation in Gaza."

These "attrocities" wouldn't happen if Palestineans didn't claim surrender and then attack
Every military conflict should be followed with a Nuremberg-like investigation and then trial. The UN, unfortunately, is not the insitutional body qualified to do the investigating and adjudicating because of its nondemocratic charter. The nations who are not permanent members of the Security Council should resign from the UN, create a new world governing body and then investigate US war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan and investigate Israeli war crimes in Lebanon and Gaza. Guilty leaders should be placed in solitary detention in the same prison that held Hess, which will need to be rebuilt.

LOL. The UN human rights effort is viewed as anti-semitic by the two powers that count the most: USA & Israel. All respective citizens
are towing the line. They have no real choice. The UN others don't either as the USA has the veto & most of the world's debt.
