Ben Smith reports that Dennis Ross (who wrote a fat book about the difficult and messy process of making peace after basically prolonging the colonialist project for 12 years) was nowhere near the foreign-policy podium today and has gotten an ambiguous ambassador-at-large title under Hillary. Ross is the absolute personification of the lobby. He's their ambassador within. And as such has to be hired. But this is a positive indication.
