If you're an idiot but pro-Israel, you can get a paid platform. If you're sharply critical of Israel, it is extremely difficult to get paid to express those views. (Name me all the anti-Zionists in media jobs.)

I still wonder how Tony Karon stays on Time, Inc's payroll, but I wish him every success.
He's there (Karon) as some sort of exception to prove the rule.
Otherwise, the media is all Jew-noses and those with their noses sniffing after Jews.
A jewish reporter, Ron Kampeas of JTA, pays tribute to "the best reporter in Gaza," Ibrahim Barzak, who describes the destruction of his surroundings and his former life.
Greg Mitchell draws attention to both Barzak's analysis of the losses,
'Three days after Israel began its airstrikes against Hamas militants on Dec. 27, my apartment building was shaken by bombs aimed at a nearby Hamas-run government compound. My brother took a picture of the room where my boys, 2-year-old Hikmet and 6-month-old Ahmed, once slept. Their toys were broken, shrapnel had punched through the closet and the bedroom wall had collapsed. I don't know if we will ever go back.'
and to
Kampeas's complaint that,
'So I bristle — I bristle hard — when some moron who thinks he is making some kind of case for Israel writes about how Palestinian reporters are implacably biased (and I wonder whether these fools realize how hard those accusations make it for Israelis and Jews who are reporting in the region)."'

its just frigin unbelievable….americans are the only people on earth who still believe in the myth in the middle east…they still think their press tells them the truth.
at least in russia they knew that pravda was a bunch of lies and learned to read between the lines, here on the other hand its much more sinister, because the lies they believe to be the truth are leading this population into a dead end straight ahead.
oh well this all has to play itself out…
….

Yes, samuelburke, it is so–and in the land with the classical constitutional First Amendment.
