Inspired by a French Jew we wrote about 10 days ago, Osha Neumann (along with brother Michael) demand that Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem, remove the name of their grandmother.
Our grandmother was a victim of that very ideal of ethnic sovereignty in whose cause Israel has shed so much blood for so long. I was among the many Jews who thought nothing of embracing that ideal, despite the sufferings it had inflicted on our own race. It took thousands of Palestinian lives before, finally, I realized how foolish we had been.
Our complicity was despicable.
I do not believe that the Jewish people, in whose name you have committed so many crimes with such outrageous complacency, can ever rid itself of the shame you have brought upon us. Nazi propaganda, for all its calumnies, never disgraced and corrupted the Jews; you have succeeded in this. You haven't the courage to take responsibility for your own sadistic acts: with unparalleled insolence, you set yourself up as spokesmen for an entire race, as if our very existence endorsed your conduct.

The Neumanns aren't exactly disinterested parties. Even they even had a grandmother who was gassed, which I doubt. They are about has unbiased has "pig Weiss".
The family did not make the request, just two kids.

Of course, SOG imputes a level of stupidity and cunning to the Vad Yashem Memorial officials for including someone on their walls whom SOG doesn't believe belongs there.
If in fact there story was true, then I would think that their grandmother would have been grateful for a Jewish state so she wouldn't have been gassed. Probably some of "pig Weiss's" relatives in the old country also. But they evidently spawned ancestors that would have condemned them to death anyway. I just find it kind of interesting.

My father was run over by a drunk, my grandfather was a POW, my great uncles were martyred in a civil war. When do I get my own country and license to holocaust my neighbors?
