Congressmen want to punish children in Gaza for the imprisonment of Shalit

Is this fair? Some in Congress want to hold up Gaza aid till Israeli soldier-prisoner Gilad Shalit is released. Writes a friend:

These members of Congress are openly backing collective punishment
against a devastated community living under occupation and siege. How is a three-year-old Palestinian child supposed to effect the
release of Shalit?  It reminds me of the scene in Gandhi where the
British military leader who has just carried out a massacre says that
he was prepared to provide medical assistance to anyone requesting it.
One of the presiding officials asks how an injured child is to appeal
for medical assistance from those shooting him.
I got an email today from a friend in Gaza who recounts how one of
his very small children is scared by the smallest thing and cries when
alone and how the other is doing better but says "booof" whenever
there's a loud noise.  My guess is that they're doing far better than a
lot of other kids in Gaza.  But I know these kids and their parents and
have the sense that these members of Congress can scarcely imagine a
Palestinian family in Gaza and what life is like for them.  Do they
imagine that such families can bring about the release of Shalit?  Can
these members of Congress, with all their power, stop homicides
in their home districts?  Should all earmarks and aid packages to their
districts be stopped because of the actions of a handful of
constituents?

Funny how only Phil knows what's going on. Pretty scary for all American's who know they have to rely on Phil for the news.

What weight does one Israeli soldier have when counterbalanced against thousands of Palestinian civilians held in Israeli jails? Unless one agrees that any jewish finger nail is equal to ten thousand arab bodies, the answer is obvious. USA should not support this obvious racist mentality. chris berel et al are zionist racists hiding behind US goy troops. The American flag is not blue and white only, and it contains no star of david. Wake up.

Expecting Hamas to have one hundred percent control over every single adult in Gaza is not possible and Israel is perfectly aware it is not possible. The demand for total control is a cynical device to allow Israel to get on with their own agenda.

IF Hamas was to control every single adult in Gaza their would be accused as totalitarian and Israel would be able to get on with their own agenda.

It really does NOT matter what Israel demands of others and it does NOT matter if these demands are met or not – Israel's demands change the minute the previous demand is about to be met. The problem for Israel is that it's demands ARE being met.

Israel's political aim is to live peacefully in a land for the Jews. This mindset does not allow even for Apartheid. There will always be ONE Arab who will polute the land and may perform a violent act. The only way of living in peace is to get rid of the Arabs. Permanently. Final Solution. Clear benefits.

Eva is so quick to offer final solutions. Notice how the latest she offered is the same that exists in many Arab nations, notably saudi Arabia and Jordan.
