Guns & Militias & Nazis – Oh my!

Check out the latest from Max Blumenthal:

So, as if Obama didn’t have enough to deal with, there are now neo-Nazis running around with automatic assault rifles tucked in their back packs organizing the new militia movement. Great. Note to David Harris and Abe Foxman: If you’re really concerned with fighting anti-Semitism and building a more tolerant civil society please start trying to pry the rocket-propelled-grenade launchers and bazookas away from these nutcases instead of sabotaging anti-racism conferences and continuing to serve as apologists for the massacre in Gaza. There’s really more important work to do.

Also, before you ask, we don’t know where you can buy your own “Defend Frisco” t-shirt, but maybe Max can tell you over at his website.

You're being naive, Adam. When didn't Zionism embrace antisemitism when it felt it needed to? See AIPAC's alliance with Christian Zionist and whackjob antisemites of John Hagee's congregation and Sharon's collusion with the openly Fascist Christian Phalange in Lebanon (see Sabra – Shatila massacres).

A lunatic asylum cleverly disguised as a country.

  4. Richard Witty says:

Lame response Adam. Opposing neo-nazi movements, including gun controls, IS one of the activities of the ADL. Watch out here though. You might lose some of your audience talking like that.

  5. rykart says:

I sympathize with the ADL. There's no way to oppose Nazism and support Israel, so they are really in a bind.

  6. Ed says:

American Nazism is a byproduct of a dysfunctional, hyper-secular society. As is Communism. These types don't rise up as the result of some charismatic leader talking them into notions they would otherwise never harbor. They are an organic response to a dysfunctional government running a dysfunctional system. Anti-Zionists (and Zionists, too) should know well that government suppressed freedom and suppressed self-determination is going to result in extremism. Self-absorbed diaspora Jews like Witty and the ADL who would never dream of criticizing Jewish national socialism or demanding gun control for Jews in Israel have no problem whatsoever demanding the disarmament of Americans. It is that kind of hypocrisy, and those kinds of attitudes and double standards, that give rise to extremism. The self-absorbed Jew working in partnership with a totalitarian-minded government has always been his own worst enemy.

  7. MondoFan says:

Richard, Adam did not deny that what you mentioned IS one of the activities of ADL etc. He's only suggesting that ADL etc. ought to reassess their priorities and deal more with real Nazis (ie militias) and less with imagined ones (ie Walt, Mearsheimer,…)

  8. tommy says:

When one considers that the likes of Rev. Hagee's followers are both Israel's staunchest American allies and also represent an underlying White supremacist ideology that appeals to many Americans, then one should worry this alliance will not end well for America's Jews or anyone else. Both of these factions are using the other for their personal gain. When the alliance no longer has any possibility for advantage, then the faction with the greatest power, the Christian authoritarians, will turn on their red heifer allies savagely.

In 20 years, after Israel is destroyed, people will go to gun shows to ogle IDF uniforms and buy star of david pendants to pin on their motorcycle jackets.

  12. Jacqueline_Hyde says:

good one rykart! Watch for the Sophists of Zion to twist meager threads into great tapestry.

  13. Jacobwolfen says:

I wonder why you did not compare the DurbanII conference in the same manner, that rather than fociusing on the racism rampant in Europe, Africa, the Arab portions of the Middle East, and Asia, they wasted all of their time with a little strip of land. Certainly there are so many millions of others being murdered for racist reasons, why focus on the few thousand?

  14. Jacqueline_Hyde says:

You tell us, you're the one changing the subject.

  15. Jacobwolfen says:

"If you're really concerned with fighting anti-Semitism and building a more tolerant civil society please start trying to pry the rocket-propelled-grenade launchers and bazookas away from these nutcases instead of sabotaging anti-racism conferences' I believe that is part of the subject. That part is what I reference.

  16. Jacqueline_Hyde says:

What's with the funny quotes " closing with '? Is there a splinter in the windmill of your mind? I'll try but first I'd like to see the Palestinians get their mitts on some Panzers! You know, for the balance thing.

  17. Jacobwolfen says:

Sticky keyboard. Once the palestinians have 10 panzers, they will lose 10 panzers. It will take about 10 minutes and as they will be parked in a heavily populated area, it will cost the lives of about 150 innocent palestinian women and children. The Palestinian militants will be smart enough to be no where near a panzer.

  18. Jacqueline_Hyde says:

So, might makes right. Spoken in the true spirit of National Socialism. Heil!

  19. Mooser says:

"buy star of david pendants to pin on their motorcycle jackets." Been there, done that. But The Litvaks "colors" are a Star of David being run down by an eight-ball. We're the ten-percenters of the remnant.

  20. Mooser says:

Jacobwolfen, there is nothing more shameful, or which shows you up quite as stupid, as vicarious martial prowess. JacobWolfen, are you there, taking out the panzers and the Palestinians? If not, why don't you treat yourself to a big helping of good old Kosher shut-the-fuck-up? Look, we know that every ZIonist-supporter is ready to fight to the very last drop of the Israelis blood. There's no need to tell us over and over.

  21. MRW says:

The RJC helped fuel this during the election. There is evidence galore over at jewsonfirst.org. If you poke beneath the surface, you'll find evidence of Lieberman and Danny Ayalon's Yisrael Beiteinu party insinuating themselves into US politics and manipulating what you saw on Max Blumenthal's video. RJC and Danny Ayalon operatives were responsible for the 'Obama is a Muslim' email campaign. That stretched all the way to Israel, if you will recall. RJC and Danny Ayalon operatives were responsible for whipping up the John Hagee crowd about the 2nd Amendment. This is all documented, and the 2nd Amendment thing was put in place between Nov 4th, 2008 and Jan 20, 2009, while Gaza was happening. Accepting what is on the surface in Blumenthal's video is dangerous. The RJC and Danny Ayalon operatives played a big big hand in this. They played on racism and did a lot of effective things to get this going, aided and abetted by flu carrier Fox News.

  22. MRW says:

Referring to the surface knowledge is naïve, Witty.

  23. Mooser says:

Within every single JacobWolfen comment is to be found the four fundemental tenets of Israeli apologetics. Here they are, and from now on Mr. JacobWolfen can just refer to them by number, and save mass bandwidth. 1) Israel Rocks! 2) Arabs Suck! 3) You Suck! 4) Well, the Whole World Sucks! http://jewssansfrontieres.blogspot.com/2008/07/ho...

  24. MRW says:

Everyone needs to scour jewsonfirst.org. Right-wing extremist Jews are in this up to their elbows.

  25. MRW says:

As the planners of the walkout admitted, they had this in the works for months before Durban II. Ahmadinejad could have been reading the menu for the Russian Tea Room, wouldn't have made a damn bit of difference.

  26. Citizen says:

Well, actually, Mooser, every Zionist supporter is ready to fight to the very last drop of American goy blood & money, as well. That's also why goys are on this blog too. Or do you think you came before the Wild One? The originals were storm troopers from WW1, copied by USA in the 1950s. There's a reason.

  27. MRW says:

Yes, they do. And the FEMA camps happen to be accurate. You can find out the addresses for them, then use Google Earth to see if they exist. I spent a lazy Saturday last year, or maybe in 2007, verifying this for myself. The thing that struck me was that Google Earth showed no activity in these camps. No cars. No people. Zip.

  28. MRW says:

Hell, Mein Kampf is rolling off the shelf in India as a marketing manual bestseller. Right now. Today. 60 years later and people are afraid of Hitler and nazism? Shake a boogeyman and everyone folds? Sheer idiocy.

  29. MRW says:

Where did my reply to this go?

  30. MRW says:

The RJC and Danny Ayalon’s extremist party Yisrael Beiteinu played a major hand in this during the US election. They were responsible for the ‘O is a Muslim’ email campaign against Obama. If you will recall, this had major feet in Israel. They sucked up to John Hagee’s flock. Check jewsonfirst.org for the well-researched evidence of this. RJC and Danny Ayalon operatives were able to corral the white militia group with fear-mongering, and they used Fox News to disseminate it. They used the time between Nov 4, 2008 and Jan 20, 2009 to get this crowd all worked up about the 2nd Amendment. Racism was the underlying hook. The 2nd Amendment was the surface ploy. jewsonfirst.org did a yeoman’s job documenting this.

  31. Mooser says:

"Well, actually, Mooser, every Zionist supporter is ready to fight to the very last drop of American goy blood & money, as well."____Hey, that's just good international politics, to get a client state to do your fighting. Nothing unusual about it at all. Look at ancient Rome! But the other, well that's personal!!____No, but more and more I am becoming convinced that the essential political and social dysfunctions which plague Israel are functions of its Jew-to-Jew relationships and these are just as important as the Jew-to-Arab (or Gentile, or what have you) relationships. Yes, undoubtedly the Palestinians suffer more, I'm not arguing that at all. But I am sure that Israel's relationship with non-Jews lie on a contiuum with the Jew-to-Jew relationships in Zionism and Israel. Only with non-Jews there is the recourse of violence. But I think the values of the relationships are pretty much equivalent. __That is the dirty secret Zionists would rather Masada than admit. And there is no distraction so deadly or destructive to the Jewish people that it cannot be used as a distraction to that fact.______

  32. Mooser says:

I know that's vague, but I am sure I'm on the right track. Sure, the Palestinians are the ultimate sufferers in the situation, that';s obvious. But once you get past the Palestinians, there's a whole lot more suffering to do before you get to anybody that's benefitting. Example, would you say the settlers are "benefitting" in their deal with Israel? What kind of country allows other people they care about, to get themselves in that position? Israel has no compunctions about using the settlers fanaticism and private brutality for their own gain? There's something very wrong, and it's got nothing to do with Jews and Arabs. It's got something to do with Jews and other Jews.

  33. DICKERSON3870 says:

RE: …we don't know where you can buy your own "Defend Frisco" t-shirt" …. MY COMMENT: That is one smokin' hot t-shirt. 'Mad Max' is such a badass! (LOL)

  34. tommy says:

The exploitation of the settlers by Israel is an interesting observation.

  35. DICKERSON3870 says:

RE: "Defend Frisco" t-shirt" F.Y.I.- (from Max's website) Max, April 30th, 2009 @2:54 am I got that shirt at some hipster swap meet I came across in San Francisco and thought it would be perfect for the gun show. Basically I paid $10 for all the clothes I could grab and that wound up in my bag.

  36. Citizen says:

Yes, very Madoff-like. But back to my original response to Mooser–the whole world suffered from Madoff, for example, not just the Jews, and we still are suffering. Whatever has to do with Jews and other Jews always affects Gentiles–in a worse way. Since I'm not Jewish, kill me because I care about that. Think about it, read the Talmud, look around today.

  37. Jacobwolfen says:

No, but Palestinian might will only cause an increases palestinian body count. And as the Palestinians will only display this might in heavily populated civilian areas, it will increase the number of innocent dead palestinian women and children. All for palestinian propaganda.

  38. Jacobwolfen says:

As the agenda was set, those nations tht walked out knew what was going to be said.

  39. David_F says:

Yes, this is an important point, tommy. The settlers have been used as a kind of "poison pill" against the formation of a viable Palistinan state. Begin withdrew from Sinai as part of the Camp David accords, yet at the same time expanded settlements. This pattern has continued to the present day…make peace gestures, while expanding settlements: one step forward and two backwards. Many people here criticise Israel harshly, but forget how weak the government of Israel actually is. It is beholden to often ill-informed yet politically and financially powerful American Jewish interests (i.e. AIPAC) who tend to take a hard line and either tolerate or actively support the settlers, along with religiously fanatical expansionist interests within Israel itself. Rabin was assassinated for approving withdrawals. The political landscape of Israel is so fragmented that existential threats seem to be the only thing that unifies it. If any Israeli government attempted to remove the settlers, it would probably collapse instantly.

  40. Jacobwolfen says:

Why every last drop. With the last war, 13 israelis died. By that ratio, there are no palestinians and only 40,000 Israeli casualties. George Washington loved those stats. Dont' forget Breed's hill. No matter, you have demonstrated why no one considers this comment section to be of any value.

  41. Jacobwolfen says:

    You stole a faulty formula?

  42. Jacobwolfen says:

    Just your blood.

  43. Todd says:

I don't mind law-abiding citizens having guns, and I didn't see any RPGs or bazookas in the video. As nutty as some of the people in the video seem, I don't view them as any more paranoid or security conscious than other groups who ask the government and taxpayers to provide special support and policing. I can even understand their paranoia. Media and government types have announced that they will be replaced through immigration, and have actively singled out lower and middle class whites for derision and negative discrimination for decades. What's to like about that? I don't think militia groups stand a chance in the world against the U.S. military unless the nation really goes into chaos. Still, there is a reason that these people feel the way they do, and these events take place all over the nation.

  44. Mooser says:

"theis nut jobs are buying and selling nazi memorabilia! were is abraham foxmen whe you need him? " Defending gun ownership rights?

  45. Peaceful_Idiot says:

What irks me about stuff like this is that not all people who favor militias are racist right wing extremists. Were George Washington and Thomas Jefferson gun nut extremists too? They supported the militia of several states that is enshrined in the second amendment in order to avoid the need for a standing army, which will need things to do, and lead to all of those icky entangled alliances that have now found ourselves in. But of course the peasant mentality doesn't allow people to see the big picture and so the people will continue to poo poo each other along familiar lines, such as characterizing militia supporters as violent extremists while supporting atrocities such as Af-Pak. It would be pretty hard to give billions of dollars in aid to Israel every year without our obsession with Militarism to dwarf/mask the giveaway. People might take notice at the billions we give away in weapons if we weren't spending nearly a trillion dollars a year on them. If we weren't spending more money on our military than any other nation on earth, then perhaps we could also spend it on more worthwhile things. There are already too many guns in the US for any conventional occupying army to stand a chance. There is no way on earth that any army in the world could secure a major metropolitan city in the United States, not even with a billion troops. Pushback by American citizens against an occupying army would dwarf the Resistance in Iraq by orders of magnitude. The same thing goes for secession. Even though history has shown that running an Empire is more difficult, and falls apart, when it is broken up into pieces, all the "Liberals" were first in line to make fun of the idea with their trite little "right winger teabagger" jokes. If the US were 10 countries with militias for defense instead on one country, do you think Iraq would have been invaded? Do you think there would be 700 American Military Bases in 130 countries around the world? Do think we'd have Jim Crow and Slavery in areas that are now predominantly Black, without the Federal Stormtroopers? I don't think that we would have any of those things at this time. It's a tradeoff to me. I'd rather have militias and secession then standing armies and empire, that is how the paradigm works. So, it should be no surprise that the establishment does everything it can to push topics like militias and secession into the sphere of deviance, or divide and conquer land, as fast as possible.

  46. Peaceful_Idiot says:

And of course what would really be fascinating would be if/when a noninterventionist foreign policy lobby perceived to come from the right (i.e. more like Ron Paul and less like Sarah Palin) rises to challenge the Israel Lobby. The same "leftists" that have railed against Israel for years won't focus on the battle between the two lobbies, but will instead focus on shitting on the new lobby using wedge issues, e.g. Ron Paul's position on Abortion and scary stories about how Libertarians want to burn down the national parks due to neglect and erect a statue of Ayn Rand, or will spend their time calling the nointerventionists "Paultard Teabagging Glenn Beckers". In the meantime AIPAC wins. You see, when it comes to war and Israel, if it isn't Kos doing the protesting, it isn't really protesting. If Liberal Interventionists aren't the one doing the do-gooding, then it isn't do-gooding. There has to be some sort of subversive Libertarian Agenda fantasy (think: John Birch Society) that will undermine the real effort of the brave Liberal Interventionist antiwarrior fakers who now act as Af-Pak Cheerleaders since their team gained control of the crown. But don't worry, even though they have morphed into the staunch war supporters they spent a decade railing against, they really really really hate war, probably more than you!

  47. Margaret599 says:

Could we move that up to, say, five years from now.

  48. Margaret599 says:

What do you mean? (I'm not well-versed in "coded" words, although I recently read mention of such and suspect that you are speaking in code.) Or might the question more appropriately be: What would Freud make of that comment?
