JPost says I'm wrong, that there is a significant difference between the AIPAC line and the Netanyahu government line:
While Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is refusing to explicitly endorse a two-state solution to resolve the Palestinian conflict, participants at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference will this week be urging their elected representatives to press President Barack Obama for precisely that.
This is because the AIPAC lobbyists who swarm the Hill tomorrow will carry letters to colleagues and to President Obama for congressmen to sign that mention the importance of building Palestinian institutions "necessary for a viable Palestinian state."
Am I wrong in my earlier post saying that the policy conference is in line with the Netanyahu government? Yes: in nuance. I've heard little about a state at the actual conference.

RE: "…the importance of the importance of building Palestinian institutions "necessary for a viable Palestinian state." MY COMMENT: In reality, I suspect that this is just a cosmetically enhanced version of Netanyahu's "economic peace". You see, the Palestinians aren't capable of having a state; that's why it is always necessary to work on "building Palestinian institutions" (while expanding the Jewish settlements). Of course, in the eyes of the 'lobby', no matter how hard Israel tries to help them, the Palestinians will never have the institutions "necessary for a viable Palestinian state." What a pity; but it's the Palestinians' own fault. That's just the way those desert critters* are! *NETANYAHU'S ÜBER RACIST FATHER: “The Bible finds no worse image than this of the man from the desert. And why? Because he has no respect for any law. Because in the desert he can do as he pleases." ….. …."The two states solution doesn’t exist. There are no two people here. There is a Jewish people and an Arab population… there is no Palestinian people, so you don’t create a state for an imaginary nation… they only call themselves a people in order to fight the Jews." – Ben Zion Netanyahu SOURCE – http://www.richardsilverstein.com/tikun_olam/2009...
You're not wrong, Phil. If they were serious about it, it would be the number one item on the discussion agenda.
Do the Jews only call themselves such to fight the non-jews? Look at all the Jewish Religious holidays. What do they celebrate? Military Victory over the Gentiles, an annual day of atonement where their promises are voided, what else? What kind of religion is this? Does not the Torah start with God discriminating between jews & goys? You can call it racist, or affirmative action, but who is the terrorist martyr? Repair the world? By tearing it down first? Throwing the baby out with the bathwater? LOL
