Best and the brightest redux: Harvard project on Middle East strategy posts image of Ahmadinejad as Hitler

Ajadnazi Is this helpful? The picture at left was posted lately by Middle East Strategy at Harvard, a project of the Olin Institute, which is headed by neocon Stephen Peter Rosen. The image accompanies a printed talk by Alan Dowty that is very intelligent; it suggests that the Holocaust analogy is so prominent in Israeli statesmen's minds, going back to Ben-Gurion's decision to get nukes, that Israel's leaders will have no faith in deterrence this time round either, and will do like they did the Iraqis in '81. Note the first comment on Dowty's talk is by Walter Laqueur, the scholar of Zionism, who says we must not rule out deterrence as an option.

Pope pays homage to holocaust victims of Israel: palestinians, iraqis, the lebanese, and the afganis

I put Jewish Peril: 1933 Versus 2009 because following the drift of public discussion from Days of Remembrance through posting of the MESH article makes it patently clear that modern discourse about the 20s, 30s, and 40s verges and the delusional. This situation is extremely dangerous because of the role that near complete historical misunderstanding is playing in modern international politics. My blog entry also ties into the discussion in other Mondoweiss blog entries of the monumentalization of Jerusalem

It is as helpful as any of the garbage you and your supporters post falsely and maliciously equating Israeli policy with those used by the spiritual fathers of the Palestinian Fascist movement, Nazi Germany.

Jacobwolfen is right. And don't Ahmadinejad look like a gaunt me back in my Skokie days? Hey…I didn't touch those little boys and girls!

That is the Zionists strongest tool. The Holocaust & Hitler. A strong nation (incl. diaspora) would put this behind them and move on. 200 years from now we will still see images of Hitler and holocaust movies! Man up…

No, dispelling the ignorance often found here is more to my liking.

Hopefully. I hate to see 50 years from now, little german boys and girls waving nazi flags shouting "Heritage, not hate." Letting the racist south off the hook in 1875 allowed the rebirth of Jim Crow.
