Benjamin, Finkelstein and Aboelela to speak about trip to Gaza

On July 14 at the Brecht Forum in New York, several of us who were on delegations to Gaza in May and June aimed at breaking the siege will be reporting on what we saw. "Hear what is going on in
Gaza, how Palestinians are fighting to survive and what we can do."

The panel features Medea Benjamin, co-founder of Code Pink, and Norman Finkelstein, the scholar, who accompanied the Code Pink group (and who are pictured above right, meeting the Gazan Health Minister, Bassem Na'im). Also, Felice Gelman (above left) who led a NY/NJ/PA delegation there; Sammer Aboelela, a leader of Muslim progressives in New York who was my roommate in Gaza; Daniel Strum, a filmmaker and member of Adalah NY; and myself. Here's the Flyer.

In the picture at left, Gelman and (a partially obstructed) Aboelela are taking sweets from Shatha Fouad Abu Rjilaa, whose father is imprisoned by the Israelis.
