Kuwait was not expected to negotiate with Saddam when it was occupied by Iraq and for that matter, France, Poland, Holland et al. were not expected to negotiate an end to their occupation by Germany during WWII. To be only slightly facetious, I have searched all relevant international law to do with belligerent/military occupation and have not found a clause declaring Israel exempt. When it comes to Israel everything is upside down. The victims are the aggressors and the occupied are an obstacle to peace. Thankfully, thanks in large measure to the internet and Israel's monumental arrogance and blatant racism, the great majority of people in the western world now comprehend the irrefutable facts: Israel is the occupier, Palestinians are the occupied; Israel is the ethnic-cleanser, Palestinians are the dispossessed; Israel is the oppressor, Palestinians are the victims; Palestinians have a moral and legal right to resist.
