Mustafa Barghouti gased at Bi’lin (and me– I finally use the word ‘four-flusher’ in a post)

Superb video of the Friday demo at the Bi'lin wall on the 5th anniversary of the International Court of Justice ruling that the wall is illegal. The video crescendos with the appearance of a large truck with a water cannon, and then armored soldiers firing tear gas canisters. Looking inhuman, a group of them rush to the Palestinian side to drag one of the protesters with them back. Looks a little like ants grabbing a piece of prey. Friends of Bi'lin report:
Dozens were teated for the effects of tear gas inhalation and cases of vomiting among them the Mustafa Al Barghouthi, General Secretary of the PNI party and a Palestinian MP.
Watch the video at 4:00 or so to see Zachary Foster, Jewish American, and lately a fellow at the Oren/Adelson Shalem Center in J'lem, decry the occupation and say that only nonviolent international protest can end it. And he's implicated, as a Jew and an American; that's why he's there, to take responsibility. Inspiring kid. Makes me feel like a four-flusher. That's American for schmendrick.

This is a great video. Clicked to watch Mustafa, an amazing man which I have much respect for but enjoyed hearing Zak the most.

I second that. This is one of the best Bil'in protest videos I've seen yet. It inspires hope to hear American youth, especially Jewish American youth like Zak speaking (and so emotionally!) about the injustices of the occupation from the ground in occupied Palestine.

And that's the way it is in the West Bank….over…and over….and over again! Wonderful video capturing all that happens when the IDF is having a good day. When they're having a bad day? They shoot live bullets and kill people!

Bravo, Zack Foster! BRAVO.

Make it end? Tell your Arab friends to lay down their arms and come to the peace table openly and honestly. Until then, I hope you drown in your hate filled tears.

How interesting. A violent demonstration thwarted by water and tears. Unlike in Arab and asian countries where demonstrations are met with bullets. And Zak appears to be an idiot. It is clearly a fence, yet he calls it a wall. If he can't tell the truth when it is right in front of his eyes, why should anyone listen to him?

Thanks for that Dicker – I had no idea what either term meant….

You are the one full of hate, ismail. And you are in no position to accuse Zak of lying when you post that it is the Arab refusal to lay down their arms that is holding back peace – when you know quite well that Israel's lust for Palestinian land that is the cause of war. But you lie for Israel. What a proud loser you must be…

Zak is lying. I am in position to call him a liar. The video proves he is a liar. Your assertion stems from your antisemitic outlook. And the fact that you are an ignorant bumpkin.

At least in this video they managed to edit around any rock throwing. The one a few days abot in Ni'lin showed plenty of rock throwing at their "non-violent" protest. What was the cut arond 2:30, just before the tear gas landed. Did you cut out a rock throwing from the group where the teargas landed?
