o happy day… ‘Washington Post’ covers racist Israeli current, and mentions the word ‘Nakba’

I attack the Washington Post all the time. Well here's a great piece by Howard Schneider and Samuel Sockol of the Post about Israeli novelist Alon Hilu, who has made the Nakba a central theme in a historical novel about Palestine/Israel. Emphasis mine:

The first immigrants "came from Europe with an attitude," Hilu, 37,
said in an interview at his apartment north of Tel Aviv. "It was kind
of a typical meeting between colonialists and natives. There are
aspects of colonialism in Zionism. You can't deny that."…

An opening quote from the Koran sets the tone: "We destroyed them and
their people. . . . So those are their houses fallen down because they
were unjust."

The backlash, while deferential to Hilu's right to publish what he
wants, reflects the mood of a public that has become increasingly
impatient with criticism of the country. Prime Minister Binyamin
Netanyahu has argued that — counter to Hilu's vision — reconciliation
will come when Palestinians stop regarding Jews as interlopers and
acknowledge Israel as the rightful Jewish homeland. Members of his
government have advocated measures that would require Israel's Arab
citizens to take oaths of loyalty to the Jewish state and prohibit them
from commemorating Israel's independence as the "naqba," or the
disaster.

"Self-criticism is okay, but sometimes it is beyond the redlines,"
said Ben-Dror Yemini, a columnist for the Maariv newspaper whose
articles helped trigger a campaign against the book after it was
awarded the coveted Sapir Prize. "When Jews or Zionists are depicted in
this way, it is going from criticism to delegitimization and demonizing
the whole idea of the Jewish state."

Just pointing out that this guy has a wild and erotic imagination and wrote a novel using it. That some Mondo-Idiots will then use a homoerotic novel as a source of "historical facts" makes MondoLies so worthless. Shingo knows all about phony histories…

Shingo is trying to be funny.. just like I said…

Ask around in the City of London (do you even know what the City means???) and see if there is any Arab money there. Maybe ask the Arab-almost-father-in-law of Lady Diana (who is Egytian but apparently not oil-based) if there is any Arab oil-money in England. Or Switzerland? Or anywhere else???? Shingo, do you have a sexual problem of some sort? Your last question is apropo of nothing… except that you cannot respond factually and logically to any postings here….

  4. Shingo says:

I see, so in other words, this is another one of your cospiracy theories. Did the Egytians put him up to it too?

  5. Shingo says:

You might think it's funny that you haven't read any books. I think it's tragic.

I take it you are referring to cleansing by the Zionists, in which case, there is no justification. On the other hand, if there settlements were to be removed, it would not be enthic cleansing because it ouwld not be done by the Palestinians, but by the Israeli authorities. It would only be done once the elected government of those settler communities had already agreed to a unilateral withdrawl and relocation of those communitioes back to Israel. Enthnic cleasing is the forceful removal of one enthic population by another. In this case, it would be the legal relocation of an ethnic group by it's own government of the same enthnicity on their behalf, therefore, not enthic cleasing. Re nation building, it would help if Israel didn't continue to bomb infrastructure.

"Ask around in the City of London (do you even know what the City means???) and see if there is any Arab money there" Apar from being a weak answer, there is a difference between Arab's who spend money there and Saudi's Baning their money there. You do knwo that oil is bought and sold in US dollars only right Jake? Mohammed Fayed is a rich man, but his money is a drop in the ocean compared to the trillions that the Saudis have invested in the US and by your own admission, it's not oil money anyway, so poor example. Let me educate you (again) Jake. Following the 1970's oil crisis, the US did a deal with teh Saudis so that it would never happen again. 1. The US would promise to proect the Saudis and their power. 2. In return, the Saudis woudl gurantee undireupted oil supplies to the US. 3. Oil was to be traded in US dollars only 4. The profits were to be invested in the US and the interest from those pofits would go towards paying US companies to modernize the main Cities and buy expensive toys. The day the Saudis try to withdraw their money, they are screwed, though such an action would topple the US dollar anyway, so like China, they can't afford to.

That's not what Andrew said, but you are lying anyway. Andrew said that Isrel had no right to complain about suicide bombing when Israel was dropping bombs from the air. Unless of course, you suggest giving the Palestinians F-16's so that they can stop suicide attacks and accept the more civlized way of killing Israelis.

Shingo doesn't understand words. Can't read 'em, can't write 'em. Pathetic Shingo…

Now Shingo is trying to be serious.. and makes us laugh, instead! What a Shingo!

Zand a scholar? He's never even heard of the Spanish Inquisition (maybe Shingo hasn't, either)! Judaism was never evangelical. It's not part of Jewish theology nor Jewish philosophy. Zand is a prime example of what happens when you let a secularist pontificate on religion and what happens when a failed "academic" finds need for publicity – and income. Zand has been laughed out of so many forums, I'm not even keeping count anymore. Typical for ShingoLiar to quote someone like Zand. They were made for each other.

Yes I know your ass is still red from the hiding Sin and I gave you over your USS Liberty conspiracy. Good for you Jake, you got back on your horse and tries to put that ordeal out of your mind. We all learn from our mistakes Jake. You're just a bit slower than others.
