well..I think much of what you say is true. Nevertheless, it seems Netanyahu and his gang were put in power by an Israeli public that found even the depravities of Barak and Livni insufficient to satiate their bloodlust. The lobby in the US was quite successful in getting Freeman booted out before he could lend any sanity to the situation and Obama does not inspire confidence. His silence regarding Gaza has been appalling. Hillary is a disaster. As to the demise of the right…again, time will tell. America has always been part lunatic asylum. I told someone yesterday that I'd bet 100 dollars Sarah Palin will not be the next president but I would NOT bet 1000 dollars on it! anyway…let's hope you're right and I'm wrong. It's tough for me to see how a life of dignity and peace will come to the Palestinians given current conditions, but perhaps an abrupt change is in the offing. That would be wonderful.
