Time to hit the books – check out ‘Republican Gomorrah’ & ‘My Israel Question’

It's the first day of school here in New York City and it's gotten me in the mood to catch up on some reading. Luckily, two of Mondo's favorites have new books worth checking out.

The first is Max Blumenthal's expose of the Republican Party Republican Gomorrah. Nation Books describes it as "a bestiary of dysfunction, scandal, and crime from the heart of the movement that runs the Republican Party." Sounds juicy. I haven't had a chance yet to read the whole thing, but if you're familiar with Blumenthal's work then you have an idea of what to expect. Here's a peek:

Also new is an update on Antony Loewenstein's important book My Israel Question. Now in its third edition, Loewenstein has updated the book to include as in depth look at the Israeli attack on Gaza in the winter of 08/09, and how the ongoing debate over Israel/Palestine is playing out in Australia.

I have so many books on I/P issue that my mom thinks its strange. I think I need to give it a rest for now and dive into other topics for a while. Right now I’m reading The Rise abd Fall of Jewish Nationalism by Doron Mendels. Its about ancient Palestine. Pretty interesting but a bit difficult for me to grasp the historical setting even with the dates given… anyway, read a few reviews on Maxs book and will purchase it but will wait to read it.

I think this recent article paints well the real Israel Question before the world now:

One point it makes is that Israel has always been dependent on a joint venture Western power:
England, France, USA– I ask, Who’s next? China, India, Russia? Israel is constantly cultivating
    all three.

Kolko is fabulous. He is a wonderful historian, and wrote the only book, apparently, about the Vietnam War that the Vietnamese agree with. His pieces on antiwar.com about Israel and Herzl are wonderfully informative. Every once in a while he’s on NPR or satellite radio since he retired from teaching at York University. I grab every chance I can get to listen to him.

First of all the USA, United Kingdom, Europe and Australia cannot be impartial brokers in conflict – because they’re occupied by ZOGs. Furthermore, they, along with Russia, Germany and Vatican created the Zionist entity inside Palestine instead of Uganda and several other countries the British colonial power offered to the World Zionist movement.

Obama, like Clinton, and Bushes is an Israeli Lobby’s puppet. He was put in the White House with the blessings of Tel Aviv. He will bark and whine – knowing that Zionist regime doesn’t give a dime what he says. The so-called “2-State” talk is to buy time for Israel to grab more Palestinian land and starve the 1.5 million Gazans long enough – that they submit to USrael dictates and shun their alliance with Hizb’Allah and Tehran.

Well, Ralph Reed reeks of slime. Would you buy anything from the goy geek?

RE: “He [Obama, as those who came before him ever since Truman, I guess--with a temporary time out under Ike] will bark and whine – knowing that Zionist regime doesn’t give a dime what he says. I must say this does appear to be the factul case–anyone disagree?
