If he gets off like Rosen, Weissman, Franklin, Kadish, Harman, that submarine sailor whose name I forget, and the whole slew of Israeli spies who were deported with unseemly haste after 9-11, the perceptual consequences will not be trivial. Even the convicted Pollard causes problems, because there has been a constant and embarrassing baying for his release since his conviction. Such brazen corruption of the judicial process gets noticed. I don't want there to be unfair negative consequences from this abuse, but I see little likelihood that there eventually won't be without major changes in the way the Lobby operates.
