Israel has lost it's deterrence muscle and it's nukes are useless against the Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese - their geography is too close to let one them stinkers loose without effecting Israel proper.

The Syrians are certainly better conventionally armed than the '67 war. Rumors also continue to circulate regarding their chemical warfare capabilities.

The Hizb is already trained, experienced, willing and better armed than even back in 2006. They now also, crucially, have acquired anti-aircraft missiles that are capable of bringing down Israeli Drones, F15's and F16's. The time for Israeli domination of skies is already over - they will be challenged in the next round.

Hamas might not have much but heck now they're home-manufacturing rockets that Israelis themselves keep telling us are mucho dangerous!

These three peoples know that come the right time, all they have to do is point their firepower at Tel Aviv and south - this will find a substantial number of Israelis fleeing overseas to safety. In other words, 'room' will be created.

For sure they're ready and all they're doing is waiting for Israel to fire the first bullet.

Israel knows all this and knows that to fight now would be easier than fighting later when their enemies would even be stronger, more lethal.

There is actually no way out of war.

Peace will come after the war, not before it. The 2SS, the 1SS or the end of Israel will be determined by the outcome of this inevitable approaching war.

Yes, Livni has the familiar virtue of hypocrisy, which all politicians understand.

BYahnoo and especially his racist cabinet are uncomfortably overt in their views. As many Israeli commenters have pointed out, racists like Yishai and Lieberman would never be allowed a seat in the government of a civilized country; other nations would withdraw their ambassadors in protest if they said things about Jews that these clowns say about Arabs and other goyim.

I hope you're right. I suspect all they have to do is wait until the US economy collapses in on itself. As it stands, I'm desperately trying to pull the money out of my 401k before Thanksgiving. It's been hemorraging money for three years running, anyway.

The only functional difference between Livni and Netanyahu is Livni is willing to be hypocritical in her rhetoric, whereas Netanyahu is blatant. The only real reason she and Obama would get along is they have the same modus operandi.

We know for sure that Obama's people would rather be working with Tzipi Livni.

Never mind she too is a war criminal eh - Lebanon '06 is still fresh as baked bread in our memories.

The zionists in their folly hadn't accounted all those years ago for the strength of Palestinian resistance both civic and militarily. They assumed by now they'd have moved!

Naaaaah! They're here to stay come hell or high water.

I'm telling you folks - the Palestinians, Lebanese and Syrians aren't waiting for Washington or Tel Aviv to restore them their occupied lands.

They are now recovered enough from Israeli assaults to get it together themselves and in the case of the Palestinians, they will begin with unilaterally declaring their own state - just like Israel did in 1948.

Do I smell karma?

Is it a coincidence or is Barak tired of the killing, specially when he has so much of that blood on his hands.

I don't keep tabs on the current goings-on in the Knesset (It just doesn't interest me and I don't care honestly), but if Barak stands to gain from the collapse of Netanyahu's coalition - if and when that happens - then these statements are not unusual. In that context they can merely be described as "laying the groundwork".

What members of Bibiyahoo's cabinet aren't war criminals?

But there was another one of their generals, Shaul Mofaz, equally bloody-handed, who just proposed talking !!! to Hamas.

Who would have thought, a war criminal, the man who ordered a punishing price on Gaza and Lebabnon in 2006, now seems to be the only person in Israel's B-yahou cabinet to be seeing a light and is advocating talks.
He is also the same man who is pushing for talks with the Syrian govt and is willing to give almost anything to neutralize that front.
Is it a coincidence or is Barak tired of the killing, specially when he has so much of that blood on his hands.

Some very powerful Jewish Americans and their agencies also seem to believe that they must negotiate
USA foreign policy in the Middle East among themselves. The Americans in general
are incidental.
