Hebron Fund begins charm offensive by calling Obama policy racist

The Hebron Fund is beginning to fight back against the growing campaign to cancel its fundraiser this Saturday at Citi Field. Instead of trying a conciliatory approach, Hebron Fund Executive Director Yossi Baumol has come out swinging. From a Hebron Fund press release:

“Just as Jews can live anywhere they want in New York, Paris or elsewhere, so too can Jews live anywhere they want in the so-called “West Bank.” We have as our slogan “Let My People Grow!” in protest of racist limitations, led by President Barack Obama on Jewish growth in Hebron and throughout Judea & Samaria. We are committed to continuing to have Jews live everywhere they want,” said Yossi Baumol, Executive Director of The Hebron Fund.

The release was sent out by Ronn Torossian and his p.r. firm 5W Public Relations. We’ve profiled Torossian before when he scored the Birthright Israel advertising account this past September. In case you need a refresher, Torossian once told Jeffrey Goldberg, "I think we should kill a hundred Arabs or a thousand Arabs for every one Jew they kill." The Hebron Fund joins the illustrious list of 5WPR clients which, in addition to Birthright Israel, includes the video series Girls Gone Wild and the organization Christians United for Israel.

JEWISH SETTLERS TO HOLD EVENT AT SHEA STADIUM THIS SATURDAY

-         HEBRON FUND TO CELEBRATE THE JEWISH RIGHT TO LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL –

NEW YORK, NY, November 19, 2009 – The Hebron Fund announced today their annual fundraiser will go on as planned on Saturday night Nov. 21 to celebrate the right of Jews to live in Hebron.  The Hebron Fund is committed to assisting the Jewish residents of Hebron with their humanitarian and civil needs.

“Just as Jews can live anywhere they want in New York , Paris or elsewhere, so too can Jews live anywhere they want in the so-called “ West Bank .”  We have as our slogan “Let My People Grow!” in protest of racist limitations, led by President Barack Obama on Jewish growth in Hebron and throughout Judea & Samaria. We are committed to continuing to have Jews live everywhere they want,” said Yossi Baumol, Executive Director of The Hebron Fund.

The event is progressing despite a letter of protest sent by anarchist and extreme left wing activists. The NY Mets organization will be honoring their commitment to rent the Caesar’s Club in Citi Field to the Hebron Fund, which will be holding their annual fundraiser.

A NYC extremist organization, Adalah (http://adalahny.org/) has called on Shea Stadium to cancel the event.

This will go over well! The next thing, they’ll get our resident racist Michael LeFavor to write their press releases.

    Baumol:

Asked if he supports a two-state solution, Baumol responded with a question of his own: “Do you support the two-state solution for America? Should you give America back to the Indians?” After informing me that he was “very good” at these sorts of arguments, Baumol launched into a racist tirade against Arabs that blew my hair back. “Democracy is poison to Arabs,” Baumol said. “Look at Iraq. Saddam Hussein was the best they could have had.” Baumol stated his belief that Israel should annex all of the West Bank and Gaza but that the Arabs (he refused to use the word “Palestinians”) must not be made citizens. “Israel must not give Arabs a say in how the country is run,” Baumol insisted. “You’ll never get the truth out of an Arab. Israel should give the Arabs social rights but not give them a say in how the country is governed.”

Indians? Mr. Baumol doesn’t know that this country was 87% Spanish for longer than the United States has been a country? (Where do you think we got our horses and cows?) Or that the Vikings were running around on it 500 years before the Spaniards showed up?

What’s that fancy word that means you let the part do the work for the whole? Can’t remember now. Tired.

I’m still laughing, honestly, about how Witty stands with these guys up here and then keeps pressing the hollow, patently false claim that he’s a liberal. Granted, Obama’s a moderate but the “Obama’s a racist” canard isn’t coming from us.

Torossian once told Jeffrey Goldberg, “I think we should kill a hundred Arabs or a thousand Arabs for every one Jew they kill.”

Given the Gaza ratio, I would say this guy is a prophet.

““Just as Jews can live anywhere they want in New York, Paris or elsewhere, so too can Jews live anywhere they want in the so-called “West Bank.””

Living somewhere in peace is one matter, but just like you would not go to New York, Paris or elsewhere and kill the inhabitants, steal their land, and destroy the livelihood of the others – so you are not invited to Hebron to work this colonial process. You are not involved in a process of “harmless immigration” or seeking equal community in Hebron, you are racist, murderous colonial thieves.

Your being a Jew does not have any weight nor give you any rights to commit deep and daily atrocities – it has nothing at all to do with Judaism. Keep acting like this and in any country (“New York, Paris, or elsewhere”) they would invite you to express your religion behind bars, except the state of Israel which makes the legitimacy of your “nation” highly suspect (indeed, the illegal occupation taints every institution).

Yeah I heard Shlomo Sand ia appearing for a lecture at Citi Field while they eat their kosher chickens in the outfield, to tell them their concept of a orphaned homeland is a national myth. If only that were true…

Are there going to be protests organized if they go through with this at Citi Field?
If they go though with it, I’m wearing my one shot, two kills t-shirt. I hope I will get a free lunch that way.
“Let my people Grow” – ridiculous terrorist propaganda.

I wonder if anyone has one of the Hebron Funds “Uzi Does It” tshirts, commemorating Baruch Goldstein, their terrorist founder.

Just as Jews can have chauvinist attitudes towards arabs in New York, Paris or elsewhere, so too can Jews have bigoted and colonialist views in the so-called “West Bank”.

Yes, but if they act on those attitudes in so-called “New York”, “Paris” or “elsewhere”, they will be put behind bars, instead of given weapons, funding and protection by the state.

“I think we should kill a hundred Arabs or a thousand Arabs for every one Jew they kill.”

i think if it was told by an Arab, they would repeat it everywhere and play their propaganda play! They would call for sanctions and call them terrorists!
Witty – how can any rational person support these people?

We are committed to continuing to have Jews live everywhere they want,” said Yossi Baumol, Executive Director of The Hebron Fund.

Here’s your chance, Mooser, for a higher lifestyle with no moral cost! As your right as a Jew, you can move yourself into Baumol’s house. Your choice whether you want to demolish his home first and build anew or just kick his ass out and take over his digs. Of course, maybe you should shoot higher. Leviev’s probably got quite a few nice prospects for your new home.
