Now, we can see the issues much deeper and broader...And it manifest some window of opportunity for peace in Gaza - as well as Israel, and Palestinians even just temporarily and local... a) Israel, the western countries that support Israel, and the international community must allow, without intervention, the Palestinians settle and consolidate their leadership first. Of course this will not promise peace between them but it would create only one clear enemy after all (the fact that the present struggles present no clear cut enemy after all...) b) Allow them to unify as one state, stop the siege, and allow them access to open sea under similar supervision by Israel and Palestinian authority. This will give Palestinians as well as the Egyptians a strong chance for peace, prosperity, and security... c) This will also give chance to the Palestinian people in general to make clear discretion and responsibility whether to choose peace or war...If they suffer again, there is no one to blame but themselves, leaving Israel no moral responsibility. At the same time with such clear moral and diplomatic position, the support of pro-Israel nations would be unequivocal. d) After allowing the Palestinians determine their leadership and unification, Israel has to offer the two-state option for a more permanent peace between two peoples... e) If the Hamas would later insist to wage war, then at least Israel has only one clear set of motive, enemy, and territory to contend to...after all, without such measures it is constantly at war with Hamas anyway...(I think after the Palestinians have their own peace and prosperity, there is still this chance they would not mind about the Israelites for a little while...)
