Today’s Flashpoints features great interviews with Hedy Epstein from Cairo on the Gaza Freedom March, and Joe Sacco on his important new book Footnotes in Gaza, which deals with Israeli massacres in Rafah and Khan Younis in 1956 (read an excerpt here). In the interviews Epstein explains why she didn’t get on the bus to go to Gaza, and Sacco discusses his intentions behind the book, how he recreated a story that is now over 50 years old, and his thoughts on how the mainstream media treats the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
