I naively believed that Obama’s election signalled the end of neoconservative influence

Imbibing more and more courage, Andrew Sullivan points out that despite the sea-change election of last year, the Obama administration is utterly responsive to… neocons!

there is immense neoconservative resistance to the idea that the interests of Israel and the interest of the United States may not always be identical. And an immense conviction that anyone who even utters this truism is a closet anti-Semite.

  1. You wrote about this already.

Maybe the waves of it have news value?

The ultimate irony is that Obama gets painted as an anti-Semite even when he jumps when neo-cons bark — the whole “secret Muslim” / Birther thing isn’t dead yet. Which country does Orly Taitz have dual citizenship with again?
