Ambition: Huckabee says Palestinians should be ‘content’ with Gaza

Mike Huckabee is interviewed in Israel by the JPost:

The issue is not should there be two states– sure– but should those two states be on the same piece of land.

Certainly the Palestinians have Gaza, but they don’t seem to be content…

The Israelis have always made accommodations for people who aren’t Jewish….[Though they must set limits on the number of] people who dilute the reality of this being a Jewish state, I understand that… Israel is a refuge for Jewish people, and it is an unapologetically-chartered Jewish state…

Over this last year, this [Obama] administration has seemingly put all the pressure on the Israelis, none on the Palestinians.

    Seriously Phil,

Who the fuck cares about what this racist flat-earther thinks?

  2. Cliff says:

Yea, they hate us for our freedom.

  3. potsherd says:

This is a big concession on Huckabee’s part, to let the Palestinians have Gaza!

  4. Cliff says:

Just another Christian Right wackjob. He means as much to this conflict as Osama Bin Laden’s annual mixtapes.

  5. Citizen says:

Huckabee. Aw shucks, it’s Huck! He says Obama has only put the pressure on Israel (to freeze all settlements), which Huckster deems “a little one-sided.” Huckster directly infers for some reason the Palestinians don’t seem to be content with Gaza. Zero about the
history of the former Brit Mandate; zero about the reality of the occupation. Zero about the whole history of what happened to the Palestinians once the superpowers decided back in the day to authorize, give world Jewry
an insurance policy land far away from them. He does essentially say that Israel is not like the USA because Israel is a chartered ethnocratic state. In short, he rubber-stamps
Israel because of the Shoah. The Palestinians appear to be in his mind just some landscape cattle that are ill-tempered. Maybe he should talk to a few Palestinian Christians?

    • Citizen says:

Anyway, who would buy a car from the likes of Huckabee? Somebody should ask him on camera: “What would Jesus do to solve the I-P scenario?”

And have follow up questions for the Huckster–on camera too. Of course, that would not happen in the good old USA, home of the First Amendment.

      • Taxi says:

The question to the huck and the rest of the moron brigade should be:

Mr. Huckabee, do you really think that when Jesus returns to the Holy lands he’s actually going to say:

“Gee guys thanks for killing a bunch of Palestinian children just so I can come back to this utopia, this paradise of equality and goodness.”

        • Chu says:

For Huck, religion was a stepping stone for greater power. The Christian Zionists like Pat Robertson know that they came into power from their ability to speak to audiences, and why not use that voice at the highest paid events.
He’s probably thinking why am I doing this bible-belt crap, when the
borscht belt can fill my wallet and my ambitions.

        • Mooser says:

The “borscht belt” sad to say, no longer exists. I spent a little time bussing tables or as a guest (it’s a crazy world” at those hotels, they were old and worn out then.

  6. Mooser says:

Just substitute “Christian” for Jewish and you have Huckabee’s (and Richard Witty’s) vision for America.
Israel is the inspiration and model for the Christian Dominionists.

  7. braciole says:

Perhaps if he wants the Palestinians to give up their claims on Palestine, he should offer them a large chunk of Arkansas as compensation. On second thoughts, who the f$%^ would chose to settle in Arkansas?

  8. jimby says:

Hey, He wants to be President of the United States of Amnesia. Just doin’ what needs doin’. He’d never get there without getting his head up some Jews’ asses.

  9. Chu says:

What a Huckster, but his ambitions speak louder than his Gaza drivel. He’s got to do his dog & pony show for the Lobby and the media. If he doesn’t schlep well, he’ll probably be doing Slim-fast commercials in the twilight of his career.
He says that Obama [admin] put all the pressure on Israel this year which seems one sided. He doesn’t sound like a complete lackey and maybe he realizes the days of AIPAC are waning.

Huckleberry Huckabee’s Plan for the Palestinians: Let them eat squirrel!

  11. Les says:

Huckabee is of those white racist Christians who endorse the mutual slaughter of Israelis and Palestinians. His anti-Semitism is less religious than it is racial animosity towards both Israelis and Arabs including Christian Palestinians. He is living proof that white racists don’t need instructions on racism from Jewish racists.

    • Citizen says:

From what the Hucksters says in public he’s all for Israel uber allles as a haven
for World Jewry from another Shoah. The Palestinians are not even on his radar. Why should they be, even if they are Christians? The Huckster bows to the Israel Lobby, as do 99% of US politicians up and down the line. Would it not be interesting
to hear the Huckster interpret the role of the Palestinians in biblical times? Even to recognize in public that they are as human as Israelis?

  12. One reason this is important is that Huck has a non-trivial chance of being the next president. He’s smarter than Sarah Palin, who may implode by then. He outperformed everyone’s expectations as a campaigner last time round. And Obama may well be much less popular than today (yet strong enough to beat Hillary in the primaries.) Romney I suspect is far more sane, but also the lesser politician.

  13. What would Obama pressure the Palestinians to do, exactly?

  14. Mooser says:

As usual, it looks like American Christian Zionists are more Catholic than the Pope:
