I’m surprised they didn’t Hebrewcize the name of the sport. You know, kind of like how Meyerson became “Meir?” Fabricated names are as Israeli as apple pie!
The American-sounding “beysbol” is much more attractive to Israeli ears than the literal “kadur basis” preferred by Zionist summer camps in the US and Canada. Oh, and it’s “pai tapuhim” to you.
