Many western Jews believe: We need a Jewish state

Haaretz:

Jewish extremists have urged supermodel Bar Refaeli not to marry her actor boyfriend, Leonardo DiCaprio, because it would dilute the Jewish race, according to media reports.

In a letter to Refaeli, far-rightist Baruch Marzel wrote on behalf of nationalist group Lehava, which aims to fight assimilation among Jews: "It is not by chance that you were born Jewish.

"Your grandmother and her grandmother did not dream that one of their descendants would one day remove the family’s future generations from the Jewish people," the letter continued. "Assimilation has forever been one of the enemies of the Jewish people."

  1. Kevin MacDonald: Trudie Pert on Birthright Israel

Trudie Pert’s current TOO article “Birthright Israel: A Model Ethnic Charity” shows once again that, despite being pillars of multicultural righteousness, the laws of political correctness do not apply to the organized Jewish community. As noted in the article, Charles Bronfman, one of the largest funders of Birthright, obviously has a deep attachment to Jewish DNA. Birthright has successfully raised the percentage of Jews who marry Jews to 72%. Given that the program will reach one third of young Jews and given that a lot of Jews who don’t go are from the more conservative wings of Judaism who are not in need of a program like this or have already been to Israel, it suggests a major effect on retaining the ethnic basis of Judaism in the Diaspora. It reminds us that for the early Zionists, the main reason for establishing Israel was to preserve Jewish DNA

ROTFL!!! Gosh, who could have ever imagined that the virtues we don’t possess would be used against us?!?

And of course, the fact that a community which is still, after two hundred years (in America) of living as individuals in a democratic society is still all verklempt and famischt over intermarriage can be called “pillars of multi-cultural righteousness” is halarious.
I love it! Being slagged on for not attaining standards we never even aspired to! (except in the minds of right-wing tinged with anti-semitism conspiracists!)
Would it be any comfort to Ms. Pert if studies showed that in general Jews were, on balance, about as bigoted as their neighbors, and pretty much about the same things? Then she could slag us as bigots.

By the way what has marriage or assimilation do with the issue of establishing a Jewish state? Racial identity is in fact not an option among the true Jews!…It is a prescription of Judaism. If you carry the blood of Israel (Jacob) (I don’t believe all Jews are really Jews…an anti-Israel Jew is simply a racial illusion or misnomer- they are simply mongrel (sorry for this term) with a Israeli blood) it is either you have to be a Judaic Jew, or not a Jew at all!

    How so?

    • Citizen says:

Don’t kill them, for they are individuals, not a bee hive; and don’t love them enough to marry them as individuals. For they are a bee hive, a collective entity. Make sense? “I vant to be alone.”

      From a comment on Haaretz:

“Did Marzel also advise the jewish boyfriend of Chelsea Clinton not to proceed with marriage? Their children wouldn`t even be jewish, like Rafaeli`s.”

When will the USA recognize the fundamental difference between the USA and Israel? Does any one get to have their cake and eat it too–forever, and much paid for by the dreaded Other?

    • Mooser says:

“Assimilation has forever been one of the enemies of the Jewish people.”

Keeps you from setting records for blood donation.
Of course, when somebody actually defines the limits of “the Jewish people” I’ll worry about assimilation. Think about it: for hundreds of years, the definition of who is a Jew is determined by anti-Semite elites for their own purposes. How do I know they didn’t leave a bunch of us out? And the best ones, too?
Or am I just trying to build a justification for screwing anything that breathes?

Anyway, stop me if I told you this before, but I married, twenty years, no, twenty-one years ago this July a woman who was ostensibly as Gentile as they come. But it was only a few years later that my wife tearfully admitted to me that on the maternal side, ht e great-ancestress of her family emigrated from Germany to the US as a young woman, because she had been impregnated by an itinerant Jewish peddler, and felt leaving was the preferable choice. But I’m very happy we remained married in spite of that.

    • zamaaz says:

Because this is what was written in the ancient scriptures…the continuity of tribes of Israel, pure, faithful, and devoted to their original faith….If you do not read the Bible this is an expected question…They even have the chronicles of their generations…we Gentiles do not have that!

      • zamaaz says:

In college, or even in high school, taking the course of sociology, one fundamental ethical rule is – never question or judge another man’s culture….and we have to know first the jewish cultural history before raising questions about their culture…unless we have not reach college, nor high school…or our teacher was incompetent at all….

    Philip,

Where did you get the “western” bit from? I don’t see it mentioned in the article.

Are you baiting me in light of my “Middle Eastern” comment? ;)

  4. Chaos4700 says:

That’s funny. You know, I’d almost like to kindly direct Baruch Marzel to some folksy people in the backwoods of my state who have the same exact attitudes toward the “White race.” But for some reason, in spite of all the similarities between the two groups… I don’t think they’d hit it off together so well, huh.

  5. Don’t do it, Refaeli. Don’t do it! “Everyone knows” he’s gay. Even the Enquirersays so. And hon, I heard it ‘firsthand’ from a friend of a friend of a friend.

    • RE: “Everyone knows” he’s gay.

MUSICAL INTERLUDE (proudly sponsored by the makers of Ziocaine™):
…Look at all these rumors surroundin’ me every day…
…Hear the one about Michael, some say he must be gay
I try to argue, but they said if he was straight he wouldn’t move that way
Hear the one about Susan, some say she’s just a tease
In a camisole she’s six feet tall, she’ll knock you to your knees..
…I can’t go no place without somebody pointin’ a finger
I can’t show my face ‘cause when it comes to rumors I’m a dead ringer
It seems from rumors I just can’t get away
I bet there’ll even be rumors floatin’ around on Judgment Day
I’ll think I’ll write my congressman and tell him to pass a bill.
For the next time they catch somebody startin’ rumors, shoot to kill…

Bar, don’t do it because Leo is a drip. He is straight despite whatever sort of special friendship he may have had with his dad’s poet friend while growing up … but is an unimaginative lout and, worse, doesn’t know he is not a leading-man actor but a character actor and I resent him (and Denis Hayes) for eroding what little credibility Earth Day had left once he joined it as its “spokesman” in 2000 and then did his exclusive ABC interview with Bill Clinton on environmental matters (gee, Leo, a few clever Thai protesters and suddenly you find green religion)

  7. Sunyata says:

At what point are we able to call opposition to interrmariage what it is? If this came out of the mouth of anyone else but a jew, it would rightly be called racism.

Circumstances be damned. Extenuating circumstances be damned. If nobody else is allowed to oppose miscegenation, then why should jews get to?

Unconditional Love must be the only reason for marriage, lest the marriage bond be corrupted by human greed and wickedness.

    • sherbrsi says:

If this came out of the mouth of anyone else but a jew, it would rightly be called racism.

And if any other society were expelling Jewish homes and replacing them with Gentiles, the world would be awash with news of “the rebirth of Nazi Germany”.

Yet when Israel does the opposite, we rarely if ever hear about the act itself, let alone its motivations, let alone its implications. And then, of course, we have the outright defenders of such acts, such as Marty Peretz and other neo-cons, who blame the actions on those being ethnically cleansed.

This certainly isn’t the only case of Israeli exceptionalism, nor the most contemptible.
