‘Emergency Committee for Israel’ is housed in ‘Liberation of Iraq’ offices

on 38 Comments

Remember all the folks who denied that there was any meaningful Israel agenda in the push for war with Iraq? Well here are Jim Lobe and Eli Clifton at lobelog covering the rollout of the neoconservative Emergency Committee for Israel, which has been getting so much mainstream media attention:

Some things are just too good to be true.

It seems that the new Emergency Committee for Israel (ECI) is based out of the same office as the old Committee for the Liberation of Iraq (CLI), suggesting that, Yes, Virginia, the same people who led the march to war in Iraq are behind the new Emergency Committee, which, in its very brief existence to date, has attracted a lot of mostly critical attention in the blogosphere.

The link, Clifton shows, is to Randy Scheunemann, the man who schooled Sarah Palin in pro-Israel foreign policy as she was being rolled out two years ago. When will this network be exposed by the mainstream media? Before an attack on Iran, I pray.

Seriously, so like, all they needed were a few bottles of White-Out to change the ‘q’ in “Iraq” to an ‘n’ in all of their literature?

I never doubted that the Iraq war was for Israel.

But how can something be “based out of” something? “Based” means “on a base”, so one thing is “based on” another.

But how can something be “based out of” something?

      From the Lobe link:

The evidence lies in a a letter from ECI’s executive director (PDF), Noah Pollak, to Comcast regarding the attack ad the group has been running in Pennsylvania. The letterhead bears the following address: “918 Pennsylvania Ave., SE · Washington, D.C. 20003.”

That address happens to be the same as that of Orion Strategies, a public-relations consultancy owned and operated by renowned GOP lobbyist Randy Scheunemann, who, in addition to serving as president of the CLI, has been retained since the 2008 elections as Sarah Palin’s personal — and Bill Kristol-approved — foreign-policy trainer.

(The same Pennsylvania Ave. address is also listed for the CLI.)

      That’s how.

No, that looks like “based in, using the verb “base” in its meaning of “have a base”.

“When will this network be exposed by the mainstream media?”

When the ziofascist owners of the corporate media are rotting in prison, or 6 feet under, for their war crimes, that’s when. Till then, the mainstream media is part of that network of parasites.

What a bunch of blood sucking war thugs

They all have the hundreds of thousands of dead and injured Iraqi people’s blood on their hands. Not that they have noticed or give a rats ass. A list of arrogant, socio pathic war thugs. They belong in prison. If there is a hell the devil is going to have to build a new wing for the like of these warmongers

Or here, in this attack ad on him? What is his real stance, or is it, which is?

Also, is it really different re Israel than his opponent’s?

What will an average American in PA looking for a job think of the attack ad? Is this the first time state a candidate for the US congress is running/allowing a hyper-pro Israel campaign ad? Has Sestak responded to the attack ad discussed on Morning Joe?

Important take at “Race for Iran”
“Sadly, there is nothing new or unprecedented about this. The Iraq war was sold to the American people and to U.S. allies on the basis of manufactured intelligence about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. And much of that manufactured intelligence was based on stories from “defectors”—including the notorious “Curveball”—who were paid significant sums of U.S. government money to help the George W. Bush Administration manufacture a case for invading Iraq. The U.S. Intelligence Community largely failed to act as a critical filter against bogus intelligence, and major media outlets, including The New York Times as well as the Washington Post, passed on the Bush Administration’s manufactured case for war without, in most instances, exercising appropriate scrutiny on officials’ claims, see here.

Some have speculated that Amiri may have helped the United States learn more about Iran’s second enrichment site near Qom—a site which, in any event, Tehran disclosed to the International Atomic Energy Agency last September, well before the introduction of any nuclear material. But it would seem that the U.S. Intelligence Community, even in the wake of Shahram Amiri’s return to Tehran, continues to have no evidence validating claims that there is a secret, parallel, military nuclear program in Iran, aimed ultimately at the fabrication of nuclear weapons. If the United States ends up attacking Iranian nuclear targets, it will do so because the Islamic Republic is enriching uranium—something Iran is permitted to do under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Whatever information the CIA obtained from Amiri is supposedly being incorporated into a new National Intelligence Estimate on Iran’s nuclear program–an estimate that was supposed to be released earlier this year but which, according to Newsweek, will probably be delayed for several more months. The delay strongly suggests that the Intelligence Community cannot reach a consensus on whether and how to revise the previous NIE on Iranian nuclear matters, released in December 2007–which famously concluded that Iran had stopped working on purely weapons-related aspects of its nuclear program in 2003.

Why is no journalist from a major media outlet in the United States asking why the Obama Administration drove the P-5+1 to push a new sanctions resolution against Iran, when there is such clear disarray, disagreement, and desperation in the U.S. Intelligence Community regarding Iran’s nuclear program?

This time around, before the United States initiates a military confrontation with the Islamic Republic, we need to ask the hard questions that were not asked before the invasion of Iraq.”

An war on Iran is in the minds of a lot of a people , most of them are unfortunatley Jewish Krystol/Podohoretz/Liberman and some more-
this time making an argument that Democrtas/obama need to do it for themselves, for winning an election .

“Buried in a Financial Times article -Robert Shapiro makes it clear that Obama is relying on an October surprise in the form of a terror attack to rescue his presidency.

“The bottom line here is that Americans don’t believe in President Obama’s leadership,” said Shapiro, adding, “He has to find some way between now and November of demonstrating that he is a leader who can command confidence and, short of a 9/11 event or an Oklahoma City bombing, I can’t think of how he could do that.”

Shapiro was undersecretary of commerce for economic affairs dung Clinton’s tenure in the Oval Office and principal economic adviser to Clinton in his 1991-1992 campaign. Shapiro is now Director of the Globalization Initiative of NDN and also Chair of the Climate Task Force. He is a prominent globalist who has attended numerous Bilderberg Group meetings over the past decade”-.

The “race for Iran” is a joint ziofascist-fascist operation, all of the capitalist oligarchs are on board. Whatever excuses they will use for their war crimes there (and these are on going, have no doubt about that – link to news.yahoo.com ), they will be lies. They want Iran and will use whatever means available – “color revolutions”, terrorism, economic warfare or open warfare. Nobody is allowed to be outside israeloamerican control. Nobody.

Iran is an important part of the “great game”,which is why both ziofascists and fascists want to control her.

Well, to strike an optimistic note, I think that very hard questions would be asked, that the techniques of Iraq would not work again and that the American and other Western peoples are strongly disinclined to get involved in another war.

Just to add, when it comes to parallels with Iraq, there is a very interesting article by Andrew Cockburn in the current London Review of Books, reviewing Joy Gordon on the Iraq Sanctions and revealing horrible likenesses between the petty, vindictive bureaucracy then operating against the Iraqis and the one now operating against the Palestinians in Gaza. How little I for one knew or cared to know at the time. How much credit for basic humanity I gave to Clinton and Blair.

At the risk of being redundant–who is Randy Scheunemann? Such a nice German-American whore–for starters, he signed the PNAC letter, and the followup after 9/11 to Shub:
