RE: “phil who is the lucky duck” – annie
MY CONCERN: Are you absolutely certain that guide boy in Jordan didn’t say “yucky yuck”? The human mind is a very complex organ, and sometimes people are disposed towards hearing what they want to hear. You know, ego defenses and the like. I imagine that can even happen to a seasoned journalist who ordinarily listens very carefully to what people say. Know what I mean?
Of course, I wasn’t there. And “everybody knows” I don’t like to start things. But still…..
I don’t suppose there is an audio or video recording of the boy making the contested statement, is there? It would be so nice if we could amicably settle this disagreement to my satisfaction. I really want to meet Phil halfway so we can resolve this dispute on favorable terms that I will feel comfortable with. That’s in everyone’s best interests. But no preconditions, please!
What about “muckety muck”? That seems like an fair and equitable compromise. And because I’m such a good sport, I will not expect Phil to pay my considerable legal expenses as long as he accepts this settlement within 48 hours. That way Phil can devote his full attention to the Mondo Awards, without the distraction of years and years of very expensive, protracted litigation. You know lawyers!
