Jennifer Rubin is the neocon writer lately hired by the Washington Post… to do what? To devote long columns to attacking Establishment figures who have uttered any criticism of Israel as “Israel bashers.”
In screechy tone and moral flag-wrapping, the columns recall McCarthyite attacks of the 50s and 60s. Those victims, by the way, were accused of being “un-American.” And many lost careers as a consequence.
It amazes me that the Post gives this person a berth…
Though, trying to be reasonable in the face of this journalistic abdication, I would comfort the trembling and say that if you are an Israel basher, you don’t lose your career. Anymore.
