It would be nice if just once we could have an ambassador to Israel that represented exclusively US interests. ZOA Welcomes Nomination of Daniel Shapiro as U.S. Ambassador to Israel:
The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) welcomes the nomination of Daniel Shapiro as the United States Ambassador to Israel....
ZOA President Morton A. Klein said, “I have known Dan since his days on Capitol Hill. Although we did not always agree on every issue relating to Israel, one thing was always clear – Dan was deeply committed to Israel’s safety and security and strong U.S.-Israel relations. He speaks fluent Hebrew, his beautiful daughters all have Hebrew names, and his parents would openly admit that they’re 'kvelling!'
"... In addition, Dan is exceptionally bright and understands the facts surrounding the Arab war against Israel."

Nice to have a US rep in Israel who reads and understands Hebrew, that (generally) foreign language (to Americans). As Barack Obama’s personal ambassador to Israel, I’m sure he will do just fine. I wish I could say that I think he will do as well as an ambassador for the American people as a whole, but that is not his job.
>> “… In addition, Dan is exceptionally bright and understands the facts surrounding the Arab war against Israel.”
Wow, that’s a nicely skewed comment. “Dan” doesn’t understand the issues surrounding the I-P conflict and how that exacerbates tensions in the region. No, he understands how them dirty Ay-rabs want to killum plenty Jooz.
Clearly, he knows how to “Remember the Holocaust!”
“The Arab war against Israel.” Oh, that’s a good start!
Gee, and I thought that the US had elections and that the winners of those elections decide who should represent US interests abroad and also decide what those interests are and how to represent them.
so if Mr Blankfort, in his less than infinite wisdom, should please himself to suggest that our ambassadors don’t fully represent the US, it really doesn’t mean spit.
You are right, fuster, what I suggest “really doesn’t mean spit,” but I have a hunch that one of these days some other folks who have grown tired of watching the Zionist take over of Washington continue unchecked, will frog march those who have betrayed us and their country straight into the nearby Potomac although bringing back the public stocks for them might be just as appropriate and the river’s waters are polluted enough already.
well Blankfort don’t wait around hoping for folks to be marched into the Potomac. try to find some other way to gratify yourself.
life is short and you don’t want to spend yours hunching.
Adios!
RE: “I thought that the US had elections and that the winners of those elections decide who should represent US interests abroad”
MY REPLY: This is not so in the case of ambassadors to Israel. It is my understanding that AIPAC has an absolute veto over the selection of ambassadors to Israel (Morocco, Egypt and Lebanon, too) IRRESPECTIVE of the results of any election (at least, any election here in the US)!
“”… In addition, Dan is exceptionally bright and understands the facts surrounding the Arab war against Israel.”
The ZOA’s facts
yeah, and those facts aren’t even as inventive as the ones you find here.
