The comments section to the link (with eye-brow raising commentator names like ‘Aipacpornstash’!), tell us that Aipac’s house of cards is coming down in slo-mo.
Sign of the (nervous) times.
Wow, Taxi. Things are opening up.
The last thing AIPAC needs is the light shone in there.
This belongs in this thread
Israel is not doing as well as the hasbaradim would have us think
This is funny and a sign of the times.
It’s a session at the AIPAC conference.
Israel has shot itself in the foot with Turkey, it has lost Egypt and it is a sworn enemy of Iran. Some analysts reckon these countries are going to grow exponentially over the next few decades.
Israel is now exploring links with Greece ! Greece is in the middle of a debt crisis. If Greece defaults on its debt it’s going to be Lehmans 2
Israel and the World – Building New Alliances – breakout session 2
“As geopolitical realities in the Middle East and the Mediterranean evolve, so too do Israel’s strategic relations in the region. While the Jewish state’s ties with Turkey have strained in recent years, its alliances with countries such as Greece, Bulgaria and former Eastern Bloc states have strengthened. Our panel delves into Israel’s warming relations with its regional partners. ”
Israel is like the former playboy and sports jock who is reduced to dating “mature” multi divorced supermarket cashiers for a bit of action. No more MILFs for Israel.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. -N49.
“Some analysts reckon these countries are going to grow exponentially over the next few decades. ”
Yes, it was always about “There’s more of you than them, so stop requesting your rights.”
“Israel is like the former playboy and sports jock who is reduced to dating “mature” multi divorced supermarket cashiers for a bit of action. No more MILFs for Israel.”
ROTLMAO.

“On Tuesday, S&P joined the bandwagon by launching S&P CIVETS 60 – a tradeable index of 50 stocks from the next-generation EMs of Colombia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, Turkey and South Africa. Even more of a mixed bag than the BRIC quartet of Brazil, Russia, India and China. But CIVETS equities have outperformed the BRICs in recent years. And for investors, that’s what counts”
No sign of Israel anywhere near the BRICS.
By the way, did you include Ben Smith’s update about how they’ve sent similar emails the past 3 years?
“By the way, did you include Ben Smith’s update about how they’ve sent similar emails the past 3 years?”
Question: Did AIPAC ever have to send such a warning when the President wasn’t an African American?
hophmi: Philip did not include a quote from the link – just the link with the word “annual” in the title. Look it up!
By the way, did you include Ben Smith’s update about how they’ve sent similar emails the past 3 years?
Yes, and did you see how he deliberately scratched out the 4 and replaced it with 3?
hophmi takes criticism of AIPAC personally!
and LOL@the comments section of that thread. omg, what a barnyard of fail.
So would you if you’d booked a ticket, a hotel room and flights, only to be told you won’t be allowed to hold up your tea party/birthed/Obama is a muslim sign up during his speech.
Tough break Hophmi, but at least you’ll have the chance to get an autograph from David Horowitz.
Hophmi, just a tip for you. I’ve heard Dershowitz likes to see those shoes gleaming white. One scuff, and his entire estimate of your character will go downhill. Nuff said, buddy? Lay on the alabaster Kiwi, ply the clean cotton rag briskly and hope for the best, although I can’t see how he wouldn’t recognise a kindred spirit.
I say let them boo. Contrasted to the weak-kneed, doe-eyed, trembling-legs, thrall-like breathless worship with which these ludicrous Likudists will ineviatably greet every word uttered by Bibi, their confused and divided loyalties should at last be apparent to all.
This has to be one great illustration of Israeli diplomatic progress over the past decades. They lose Iran, Egypt and Turkey and in return gain the remnants of the Byzantine empire — Greece and Bulgaria (not to mention, as Norm Finkelstein likes to remind us, the eternal support from the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru and Palau) . This is too funny. But it is symbolic of the trajectory that Israel is on today.
WSJ: Jewish donors and fund-raisers are warning the Obama re-election campaign that the president is at risk of losing financial support because of concerns about his handling of Israel.

Frankly, if an American would condition support for an American politician in an American political race over the American policy toward another country because that other country is not being coddled, then that potential doner is no American.
From Haaretz:
“U.S. President Barack Obama will lay out a new U.S. strategy toward a skeptical Arab world on Thursday, offering fresh aid…”
Yes, because those towel-heads can’t *really* have any genuine principles about seeing their Palestinian brothers getting screwed….
Not one of those who hates capitalism, but gotta admit it’s funny the depth of the unconscious understanding we have that everyone’s like we’ve become and has their price.
Like some pigeons used to our own Skinner box, we keep pushing the bribe button but the arabs never really give us the food pellets we expect and all we know how to do is … confusedly just keep pecking that button.
Suspect Obama may mention to AIPAC throwing around this extra bribery dough for Israel’s sake. Hoping it’ll understand and give his election campaign a few of the kind of food pellets it deals in…
Sin Nombre,
Exactly. I think the most pathetic part is that if you read enough stories, it seems that Americans, especially American media and political class, have bought the silly story that opposition to the policies and actions of Israel in the Arab world only exist because certain governments use it to “distract” their people and that if freedom and democracy were to reign that these same Arabs would LOVE the Israelis.
Never have I ever seen a more delusional group than those people who believe this.
Yeah, that’ll score big time in the midst of austerity measures. We can’t pay for police or the garbage to be collected, but we always seem to gave coin when it comes to looking after Israel.
