The subject is not moral Israel’s relation to immoral Israel

The best thing I’ve got out of this website is the company of smart people. Here’s something from a writer friend who must remain anonymous, because, well you know why. –Weiss.

I got on to this from a mention in the Guardian— Peter Kosminsky’s The Promise. It was being replayed, and I noticed a stunning Ghada Karmi quote, saying she couldn’t believe how good it was. We finished watching it last night, and it was as remarkable as she said. You can see from the Guardian interview that every detail was verified and drawn from eyewitness accounts. I don’t have any detached critical view, as the thing was so excruciating to watch that I just had to will myself to get through it. This is what should be seen in the US–(it might be on You Tube, but otherwise seems to be only available on Amazon UK)—someone who tried to get it distributed would get a great piece out of what would very likely happen.

I hope Kushner will make something of his speech, and bring home to Peter Beinart et al. that the subject is not moral Israel’s relation to immoral Israel, but Israel’s relation to the Palestinians, and secondly to the Americans whose government it has subverted.
