Unprecedented Minneapolis forum of 4 Jews arguing about Israel is on-line now

A few weeks ago Sylvia Schwarz of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network did a post on a landmark event, a discussion about Israel/Palestine in Minneapolis among four Jews, including two from Establishment organizations. Well here’s the video, online at last, and in front of stained-glass windows, no less. Schwarz: “Can I thank the co-producers of the show for their hard work and mentoring?  Karen Redleaf and Eric Angell.” Part I is below. Can’t wait to hear it.

I very much hope you’ll get video of this upcoming event – Helen Thomas and Miko Peled speaking at GMU on Nov 30. Surely much more palatable!

Subject: The Reality of Zionism.

Sylvia is the real deal, man.

oh wow i am so excited to see this, thanks.

That this had to be held at a Christian church instead of a synagogue goes to the heart of the matter that is present-day American Judaism. That Jews in the US have allowed Israel, and by extension Zionism, to become such an integral part of Judaism is shameful.

The Jewish Federation guy was not a happy bunny was he! Also, Ron Garber from J-Street you could see was getting really uncomfortable when he felt his agenda of maintaining the “status quo”, wasn’t going down too well. I can see how important that ‘Jewish’ holiday home is to him. It was pretty obvious — he was not there to listen.

Kudos to Sylvia Schwarz, and that brave woman who came up to the lectern and spoke truth to power.
