the same thing’s happening here except somewhat lower key, with an iraq war veteran brain-damaged from being shot with a tear gas cannister (oakland), pepper-spray used quite liberally at several occupy sites, mass arrests, not only of protesters but journalists. all this pointing to the militarization of police departments along with the elite .1% concern over the potential for the 99% to adversly influence the status quo. hopefully these attacks upon occupy protesters won’t escalate towards the brutality now occurring in cairo? according to the LA Times coverage of yesterday’s mayhem in cairo, the muslim brotherhood has spoken out against the slaughter of protesters there. whether their criticsm was merely for show or was for real remains to be seen.

I blame the U.S. Government 110% for this. The U.S. is meddling from the beginning of this Revolution. An invited analyst on Al-Jazeera stated that the Revolution was aborted. It was aborted by the U.S.! The U.S. wanted a SLOW transition with the Mubarak OLD GUARD hanging around until the U.S. can exert influence with incoming parties. This guy also stated that in Tunisia when the transition took power the Military “went back to the barracks” – WHERE IT BELONGS! And the transition ceded power to elected officials. This is not happening in Egypt because the U.S. is funding the Egyptian Military and that funding comes with “suggestions” to hang on to power for one and to enforce the treaty with Israel! DAMN YOU ISREAL!
