This video is making the rounds this morning. It shows Newt Gingrich falling asleep while waiting to speak to the AIPAC policy conference (he was up after Leon Panetta). It was a highlight for me watching yesterday, and I didn’t even know Gingrich had fallen asleep. The moment I realized he was just going to wing it off script was by far the most entertaining moment of the day (“here goes nothing!”). Unfortunately, he has the “threat of radical Islam” so hardwired into his stump speech by now he was able to just play on through. Play this sound effect from 1:21 to 1:31 of the video to catch some of the atmosphere in the room.

The kippa on the guy behind the AIPAC lectern is scary.
It says that the religion has become so enmeshed in insane imperial militarism and there was nobody in charge to stop it.
Nobody should wear kippas to AIPAC.
