  1. It blows my mind to think about how I grew up hearing that Zionists had a hasbara machine like nothing else this world has seen. In the same week we got to see Michael Oren made to look like an absolute moron & Netanyahu bring out a cat and parrot to sell Israel to Israelis. That is awesome.

    • Philip Weiss says:

this comment is HUGE, today! thanks

    • seafoid says:

All the hasbara about peace is dust when israel has killed the 2 SS.
They have zero credibility when 6 weeks ago they told the world that they had ensured that the Palestinian economy would never be capable of supporting an independent state. They were successful beyond their wildest YESHA dreams.
And so the paradigm is broken and they can only sell smoke to the world.

“I grew up hearing that Zionists had a hasbara machine like nothing else this world has seen” Six decades of not really talking about the conflict honestly is damn powerful.

Bob Simon not doing any stories about the conflict for “a very very long time” is damn telling.

What is with the parrot and cat? What are they singing? And this almost seems like a joke. Were they really serious?

  2. rensanceman says:

I believe it was Oren who just recently made the claim to the main stream audience that Econ activity in the west bank had increased by 25%. And they now claim that the Palestinian economy is non-sustaining? If one can not dazzle the audience with brilliance, then try to baffle them with b.s. I wish it was true that the world can see through the disingenuous hasbara and outright lies spewed by the likes of Oren and Regev, but I sense that we are not at a tipping point in our truth crusade to start a free fall defection by the true believers in the Zionist dreams.

  3. Kathleen says:

Netanyahu’s body language was so calm, cool and collected in the above clip. Have no idea what he was saying. Did hear him mention “Ben Gurion” Sure wish someone would tell us what he was saying. That switch over to the parrot and cat is definitely “looney tunes”

  4. A bad day for Bibi is a GREAT DAY for America.

  5. I didn’t catch all of it, Bibi is talking about the many great things they have accomplished in 64 years of independence, technology that the whole world uses, computers, cell phones, etc. etc. standard talking points, then he says and the parrot and cat repeat the popular shabbos song from the beginning of Psalm 133, as King James translates it: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

  6. Taxi says:

Are they mixing MDMA with ziocaine now?

  7. Henry Norr says:

What are the cat and parrot saying?

ALSO SEE: A Nation of Animal Lovers Closes Its Eyes to the Massacre at the Gaza Zoo, by Missy Comely Beattie, Counterpunch, 2/06/12

(excerpts). . . So, why, then, given our attraction to animal stories [here in the U.S.], were news anchors silent on the massacre at the Gaza Zoo by Israeli troops who shot and killed caged animals during Israel’s recent assault on Gaza?
The answer, of course, is that we’re supposed to believe that Israeli troops are the good guys. Palestinians are “militants.” Israeli soldiers are, well, soldiers.
An article at http://www.palestinechronicle.com by Ashraf Helmi and Megan Hirons provides the chilling details. – link to groups.yahoo.com Here is an excerpt from their piece and their interview with zookeeper Emad Jameel Qasim:
The zoo opened in late 2005, with money from local and international NGOs. There were 40 types of animals, a children’s library, a playground and cultural centre housed at the facility.
Inside the main building, soldiers defaced the walls, ripped out one of the toilets and removed all of the hard drives from the office computers. We asked him why they targeted the zoo. He laughs. ‘I don’t know. You have to go and ask the Israelis. This is a place where people come to relax and enjoy themselves. It’s not a place of politics.’
Israel has accused Hamas of firing rockets from civilian areas. Qasim reacts angrily when we raise the subject.
‘Let me answer that with a question. We are under attack. There was not a single person in this zoo. Just the animals. We all fled before they came. What purpose does it serve to walk around shooting animals and destroying the place?’
Inside one cage lie three dead monkeys and another two in the cage beside them. Two more escaped and have yet to return. He points to a clay pot. ‘They tried to hide,’ he says of a mother and baby half-tucked inside. . .

From the Arabic translation; This is a speech of a man who’s hilarious and in denial ,he talks about BBQ’s and remind his audience that he too likes BBQ ,he speaks of exaggerated technological advances , and so on , yet no mention for the essential stuff like” Listen guys , i don’t want you to panic , but no one is buying our BS anymore and we’re really are deep in it.”

  10. Where did you find this? On youtube? On the office of the prime minister’s site the message stops before the parrot and the cat.

    • talknic says:

wondering jew — click on YouTube at the bottom right of the video, it takes you to the YouTube page. On the YouTube Page, it says it was posted by the Prime Ministers office!

Experiment: turn the sound off so you have no idea of what he is talking about

In the video in this article, he is reading from an autoprompt. His facial expressions and body language alone paint happy, confident, glowing picture

However, this one is for the consumption of English speakers
link to translate.google.com.au — Also reading an autoprompt. However, his facial expressions and body language paint a completely different picture to the Hebrew version….

I thought it was the Palestinians who were supposed to tell it one way in Arabic and another for Western consumption

    • ToivoS says:

Oh poor wondering Jew. It looks like your precious leader is just a buffoon. I feel for you man, I really do. Here you thought he was a real mensch and then it turns he is just a silly clown.

“Netanyahu goes looney tunes on Israeli Independence Day”

Are you suggesting that he doesn’t the rest of the time?

  12. Sumud says:

Wow, talk about infantalising your constituents.

  13. Wouldn’t it be fun to give this the ‘Ranting Hitler’ treatment?
